Review: They work... - About on the quality scale as the ones that I bought for years from the store that had a big red R as their logo and had a "battery club." As in they aren't expensive, and they work. Actually, they're identical. I have them on cables that I made up a couple of decades ago. Good price. You do have to solder the connections, but I'd want that anyway.
Review: Was super easy to use. - Not really experienced with soldering but was easy to handle with my cheap soldering iron and some masking tape to hold everything down. Included heat shrink is absolutely perfect. Was able to separate the three wires with a little bit of shrink tube and then used the larger heat shrink to wrap the entire connection and another to reinforce the bend a bit. It includes 10 but did this on my first attempt. So I have plenty more for future use. The metal held the lead-free solder very easily and was able to make reliable contact through the holes.

**Q: If I want to prevent audio coming through tab speakers, will putting one of these in trick the tablet into thinking it's sending signal to headphones?**
A: It will if the unit mutes your speaker (it will act like a open or broken wires).

**Q: What is the threading on the pvc screw-in?**
A: Not sure what the thread is but it threads directly onto the melal portion of the replacement plug so it seems irrelevant unless you are just using the plastic portion and not a new soldered portion which doesn't seem possible.

**Q: I need 3.5 plug with bare wire for speakers on the other.  Would leaving the ground unattached to anything affect its functionality?**

A: I don’t understand your question. What is a 9 to 9 3,5mm Jack?

All 3,5mm jacks are built to a standard depth so they should all work as long as it’s a stereo Jack and not a mono (that is if you want stereo sound.

The holes to solder the wires to are tiny, and hard to thread, but they work OK as long as you don't make any mistakes. (A problem I described earlier was actually caused by the jack I plugged it into. This plug is just fine.)
