Have to print out additional parts
I think this was likely a waste of money, got to print out additional parts to make this work, I feel for the price a complete product would have been a much better value, and I have to reference a spreadsheet to determine the result...

Snake oil
Pretty sure it was a waste of money, it doesn’t work right.. it’s essentially a micrometer, that is mounted way too high, for belt tension. You quickly run out of useful tension adjustments, due to its size. Anything above 5lbs can not be adjusted accurately.

Doesnt work as advertised
Do your research. I bought this for a 3d printer, it came with no instructions, when i searched for instructions, i found information suggesting this tool doesnt work as intended. Even found a thread with a rep from the company acknowledging there was a problem, but their engineers were working on a solution. No thanks.

this is not a belt tension gage, it is a belt displacement gage
This is not a belt tension gage, it is a belt displacement gage, it measures belt displacement in inches and mm. Industrial standard for belt tension measurements is in grams, oz. or lbs. This device is useless as a belt tension meter as it can not measure belt tension as claimed; without access to the belt manufactures belt spec's, and a big formula to convert belt spec's displacement to tension.

Doesn't work
BTT is aware this product is faulty and has been for months. The calculation tool will often tell you to reach a deflection that is not even possible to achieve the desired tensions. They have said for months they are working on this, however, no update and at this point in the discussion, they have stopped even replying to the support status.
