Amazon BasicsSmart Plug, Works with Alexa Only, 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi, No Hub Required, 4 Pack, White

After purchasing an Echo Dot, Amazon posted a deal on the Amazon smart plug ($24.99) for a $1.99. I purchased it as I recognized the price was very good. I decided I wanted another smart plug but unwilling to wait for a bargain, although I see it is on sale for $12.99. I purchased a two pack of the Amazon basics smart plug for $15.99. The basics smart plug is specific to Alexa only and the smart plug can be used with other platforms. The setup for both plugs was extremely easy. (They synced up in less than two minutes). If you have Alexa devices, the basics plug works the same as the higher dollar plug. I am now waiting for Prime Days to see if the basics plug drops in price.

I just received these 2 plugs yesterday, and hooked one up to a lamp in the living room. It was very easy to install using the Alexa app, and works like a charm. I also think this is a good value to get 2 for $10.99.If I notice any short-comings during use, I will update this review, but for now I highly recommend this item.

i ordered 4 plugs. 1 is not working.

I rarely rate anything above a 4.... Having heard about these for a while, I decided to give them a try. I ordered 2 packs for a total of eight Smart Plugs. The setup for fairly easy using the Alexa app on my phone. You can name each device which makes remembering which plug you are speaking to via your Alexa devices. Both my wife and I really like being able to walk through the house and simply asking Alexa to turn on this light etc. It's a guy LOL :-)A cool option with these plugs is that you can control them remotely using your phone. This saves having to set light timers when you are not home or away on vacation. You can also setup routines with these plugs. All in all, very much worth the purchase. Again, I rarely will rate anything at a 5, but these truly are a viable asset to your home or apartment.

The price is right with these! They work well and sync up right away with the Alexa app. I can control them easily with my Alexa devices and the Alexa app, as well as pressing the buttons on the side. I’ve used them for about a month now and I have only experienced connectivity issues with one plug. (I’m still trying to figure out the issue with that one.)

I’m using Siri to write this because my vision isn’t so good. I’ve purchased these before especially during prime days and this was a great deal but would be a good deal at any point. They’re so simple to use you simply plug them in Alexa find them and then you name it or do whatever you wanna do with it and it works great. It’s a one step process definitely plug and play. These are so easy to add electrical outlet chargers that are hooked into the Wi-Fi system around the house, I purchased four I’ve already used and looking for a place to use the fourth one but overall very easy very simple. I hate to use the word easy because whenever anybody says easy to me usually isn’t but this case it is. Thank you for taking the time to read my review. Have a great day.

I currently have and echo dot with 2 plugs used for lamps. I read the instructions on how to install theAmazon basis plugs and inserted the plug in an outlet. The plug was immediately found and set itself up in my system. Wow !!!. The only thing I had to do was to rename the plug to an additional lamp.I highly recommend these plugs and the price was great !!!

So far these plugs have worked great. They were easy to set up and I haven't had any connection issues.
