I searched quite extensively for a mancala set for our daughter. This one checked all of the boxes. It is attractive which makes for a nice gift presentation. I wouldn't say it's compact, however it folds in half into a narrow shape with magnets that makes it easy to store. The board is solid wood with little carved designs on the outside. The game pieces are irregular shapes of real polished stone which are both beautiful to look at and comfortable to hold. They aren't too big or too small and so much more interesting than the flat glass stones for floral arrangements some sets come with. If you play mancala you know that eventually you accumulate a handful that can be a challenge for smaller hands. Most importantly, they're not round! I can't understand how some sellers are using marbles. Why?🤷‍♀️ Anyhow, this set has been a joy to play with and at such a reasonable price I would easily repurchase for gifting.

Got this for my brother, for next year’s Christmas. It was his favorite childhood game, so hoping to spark some nostalgia. The quality of this is totally worth it! Very happy.

Good product, but make sure you read the dimensions because this thing is huge. At least a lot bigger than the traditional Mancala boards that fold hamburger style..

I expected something quality for $50 USD when I bought it- I will say am definitely satisfied with this mancala set. It is beautifully crafted, sturdy and the variety of the 48 stones is nice and unique. Will be enjoyed for years to come.
