Super7 Richard Scarry Huckle Cat and Lowly Worm - 3.75" Richard Scarry Books Action Figure with Accessory Collectibles and Retro Toys

My daughter absolutely loves busytown mysteries, and her mom grew up watching the original busy town. I got this kind of for both of them. They LOVE it. This figure is so cool, extremely detailed. Huckle has real clothes with high quality embroidery and even features an embroided gold bug character. Its extremely sturdy and can be posed pretty easily although not a ton of options for posing. Definitely dont let a very young child play with this unsupervised as it is a collectible and you dont want them to damage it. We will be enjoying this for years to come

Pricey and Lovely - I have a Halloween Charlie Brown, and a Shogun Warrior Optimus in this large line. The clothes are well-made. He looks great in a "writing room." I would like a break on the price for the Shogun Mechagodzilla, but I must say, in a world where I have children, where, as a writer who keeps the child within him alive, I like things like this to remind me of what is good in the world.

I grew-up with the Richard Scarry books enjoying all the adventures of Huckle Cat and Lowly Worm. As an adult, I loved that I was able to share these stories with my children.This Huckle Cat figure is not only a faithful representation of one of our favorite Busytown citizens, but also an amazingly detailed and adorable collectable. Every bit of this vinyl figure will make you long for the hustle and bustle of these early readers.The sculpt of Huckle is truly flawless while the colors are crisp and bright. Huckle's trademark lederhosen are very well made - precision cut and expertly stitched with no stray threads, nicks, or imperfections whatsoever. Even the buttons are placed exact center and well sewn. I particularly like the embroidered Goldbug on the back of Huckle's shorts. It's one of those added touches that just completes the overall perfection of the piece.Huckle Cat stands quite tall at 16" and can be slightly articulated at his arms, legs, and head. He's not fully posable because of his sheer weight, but you can make him look like he's taking a stroll or gesturing with his arms if you wish to display him in more than just a standing pose. Given that he is 100% a collectable, I do wish that the box he came in was more of a display piece, but he is enjoyable nonetheless.I feel I do need to acknowledge that this is a rather pricey piece for a vinyl collectable, but I'm hoping that perhaps its higher price speaks to its quality, rarity, and collectability. It is certain to be a focal point of any toy collection/display. As such, I do believe this is a great figure for both vinyl toy collectors and fans of the Richard Scarry books. Huckle Cat brings joy on so many levels and will make you smile every time you look at him. I absolutely love this figure!

I ordered this Richard Scarry Supersize Vinyl Figure - Huckle Cat purely on a nostalgia impulse. When I first saw this figure all I could think about was the first book my son ever picked on his own and it was Huckle cat's busiest day ever, and I can remember reading this book to him nightly, to the point I had it memorized. The figure is nicely detailed and large and stands a tad over 16 inches tall. Articulation is not really the best, I am able to turn the head, raise the arms up and down and turn his feet left or right and that is the extent of Huckle Cat's movement, which is fine as I consider this more of a display piece to begin with. Huckle Cat's clothing is real and not just painted on and the quality is great for a figure. The figure balances well on the shelf and no figure stand is needed to display him. As far as price is concerned, if you collect Super7 figures you will already know to expect a hefty tag to go along with them especially the larger scale supersized figures they release. My only nitpick about this figure is that you must take it out of the box to display it as there is no front window to be able to display it on the shelf new in the box, he has to be unboxed for display. Overall, this is a large figure of Huckle cat that is nicely detailed, and I am happy to display him on my figure shelves next to my 1/4 scale neca and hot toy figures, so that every time I look at him, I can recollect the fond memories of reading to my son when he was little. This would make a great nostalgia gift to give someone who enjoyed reading or listening to the stories of Huckle Cat's adventures.

OK...I have NO CLUE who that character is, and I have never read anything by this Scaary guy. I was looking through Amazon and thought he looked a bit like my cat "Foxy". I didn't give it much thought but then I mentioned "Huckle Cat" to my neighbor and she said her daughter was obsessed with the character. When I checked later and saw he was still available, I thought I might want to get one for collectors sake. I have a lot of strange collectables and thought to myself that this would just be one more to add.There was a bit of a delay in the shipping, and it wound up arriving about a week late...chalk it up to the New year Holiday. Knowing I wasn't going to play with this thing, I just wanted to take a good close look at it before boxing him back up. Well, that WAS the plan.When we took him out of the well packed series of boxes (yes...he was very very well packaged) we noticed that he has a fully articulate body, and that would allow him to be placed in a variety of life-like positions...which is perfect if you want to have him on display.There is an awful lot of quality that went into the production of this figurine. From the clothing to the solidity of the body and smooth operation of the joints, this is NOT a toy...this is a collectable. Now, I can't tell you anything about who he is, what he does, or anything about the books that he is a character in, but I can say that this is a really nice piece, and if you're a fan of the literature, this would make a very nice companion piece to have.
