Barebones. Works. *by T***E on Reviewed in the United States on July 13, 2018* I needed a "always on" charger for my phone. So, it needed a fuse and this one has it. It doesn't seem to drain the battery when not in use (but my car doesn't sit for long times.)This was easily long enough to run the power directly from my car battery to the drivers' seat. It didn't want to do an drilling or installing -- I just had to find a little gap for the wire to run through.There are no instructions but just remember to get the polarity correct.* The all-black wire is negative. (ground in most cars).This wire can be attached to a screw in the chassis and has the appropriate end.* The red-and-black wire is positive. ("hot" in most cars).This is the bare wire.As long as you are OK with a bare-bones item, the one I got is worth five stars.If you want to plug it into your fuse box (probably a better way) then you may want one with the proper connection on the end. ### ⭐ Maybe I got a bad batch? *by F***Z on Reviewed in the United States on October 10, 2018* I bought two of these, one for my wife’s Jeep and one for mine. First unit was dead on arrival so I tried the second unit. The second unit worked for about a week and then stopped working. Fuse in the unit is still intact, connection is solid and ground is good. Reconnected my USB connection to the dash cam and it worked so definitely not an issue with the cam. I bought these while I was sick/unable to work on the install so now the return period has passed. Oh well... lesson learned. I know there isn’t much to this kit so it doesn’t make sense it doesn’t work but I’m moving on to try another unit. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works off the truck ignition key *by C***E on Reviewed in the United States on December 4, 2018* My dash cam had to be plugged into the cigarette lighter to work, and I was always forgetting to plug it in. Using this made it an automatic on, and you know that if your ever need your video for review - it would be my luck that it would be the day I forgot to plug it in.
