I have issues with my neck and migraines. My chiropractor recommended a rapid release tool and after searching Amazon, the Hyako Pro seemed like a great product and well priced. I bought one and I absolutely love it. I use it every day wherever I am hurting and it really helps. The small metal tip is perfect for the area where the base of the skull meets the neck to work out knots and relieve tension. It is particularly convenient that you just need to turn the massager to the tip that you want to use. No searching for and switching attachments like those massage guns. It is also powerful and the charge lasts a very long time. A few weeks after I got mine, I sent one to my son as a gift to help with his sore muscles and tight calves. He loves it too. After several months of use, mine is working perfectly but his stopped working properly. I contacted customer service and Hyako responded within minutes and told me they would send him a free replacement. He received it a few days later and he is thrilled to have his favorite massager again and just in time to take with him on vacation. We both highly recommend this product and are very happy with how the company stands behind their product and their warranty.

Muscle and Fascia issues BUY this! My friend let me borrow her unit for a knee injury I got while at the gym. So I had to have one. Comes in a great travel case that I take to the gym now to use after each session immediately. This is a useful tool in recovery daily! Portable, charge lasts long and the ten minute cycles fly by giving plenty of time to work on specific areas that need release. Must own one!

Product is compact, well built. Striking similarity to another massager with the same feature but a lot smaller, shorter, more good looking, and about 20X less expensive. With high frequency vibrations and less noise, the effect if more pronounce. I will recommend this to my friends.

A little over a year ago, I purchased the Hyako Pro R1. It is an excellent device for sore backs, shoulders, etc. I use mine in addition to a "massage gun" which is more of a percussive therapy as where the Hyako Therapy Massager uses a high frequency vibration. I recently needed to contact customer service. They went beyond my expectations with excellent customer care. As I write this review, the Hyako Pro R1 is at a great Black Friday price. I highly recommend this device.

I have some chronic muscle pain issues - and try a variety of movement and exercise daily. The Hyako is not a percussion massager. I'm not a fan of percussion massage which often creates more pain than benefit and is not optimal for massaging thinner sheets of muscle. Rather, I have found kneading massages (think Shiatsu) or gentle orbital massages (like MedMassager units and now the smaller Hyako) are best. This is a (gentle; depends on settings) vibration massager and can be run over just about anywhere and has multiple options for which contact surface to use - including a tiny point for intense force on a small area. This has reduced pain sensitivity for me allowing less stiffness and better sleep. 5-10 minutes all over the legs, glutes and lower back works wonders. I personally often use the edge of the machine between the two steel prongs and find it just right even on the lowest power setting. One reviewer mentioned best not to use directly on skin - that's probably true - I would suggest on the outside of garments or throw a towel over the area and massage through that as some of the silicone contact surfaces could bind otherwise. This is powerful and adjustable and I'm going to be using this daily for a long time.

The great news is that HYAKO’s customer service was absolutely top-notch once I brought those concerns to their attention. They immediately reached out and offered to replace my unit with the upgraded R1 Pro Max, which was designed to address the very issues I mentioned in my first review. I’ve now been using the R1 Pro Max weekly for several months, and I purposely held off on updating this review to make sure it could hold up over time — and it absolutely has. The build quality is noticeably improved, the performance has been consistent, and the overall power of the unit is excellent. For context, I’ve been testing this side by side with a much more expensive competitor (Rapid Release), and the R1 Pro Max has held its own impressively well. In fact, when it comes to portability and self-use, the R1 Pro Max is actually more convenient. I’m very happy with this version of the product and can confidently say it’s worth recommending — especially for fitness professionals or active individuals who want a high-quality vibration therapy tool without spending over a thousand dollars. **Original review** As a personal trainer/Coach I was really hoping to like this and being able to recommend to clients that can’t withstand using the percussion guns. The product is good in the first few weeks of use but with more use the head gets looser the noise level raises. Retuned my first one (really good customer service) but replacement came and within a month of purposely lighter/limited daily use, the head started to separate from the body again and make a lot of noise. Unfortunately, can’t waste another $100+ USD on this again. I’ll see if I can return this one because do I like the vibration concept but if not I will probably look to spend a little more money on the rapid release brand since that I what I was introduced to by my chiro originally a few years ago when it was still $1,500 usd. Again it is really good for a couple of months or really light use. Battery is really good on this unit as well but at $100+ I can’t recommend for an avid user or gym goer.

Great hand held massager brought as a gift for my husband. If you like pressure this is great for you with extras included for different types of massage.

Unico difetto per ora riscontrato, a parte doverci prendere la mano, è la batteria che non dura tantissimo (di sicuro non quanto dichiarato) e nella gestione della ricarica che richiede molte hr (tipo almeno 6-8). This massager is excellent. I have an inflammation in my Achilles tendon and today after my flair up , I decided to use this massager and see if it actually works. So I did and I noticed , unlike the Thera gun that I have, this works more like the tens unit my physio therapist uses on me and my pain dropped down dramatically, apon use. Don't think, just buy. No regrets. None whatsoever.
