I’ve purchased several higher priced dash cams than the Rove, and quite frankly the Rove offers far superior performance at a far lower price point. I mean the value is incredible for what you get. The tech specs on this are actually more impressive than the flagship Garmin X310 cam that I also recently purchased. What separates the two is ease of use; the Garmin is easier to set up and easier to use, and also offers cloud based subscription services that aren’t offered by Rove. The Garmin cams are also smaller and less obtrusive, with higher quality matte plastic. But as far as features and video quality for the money, this Rove is unmatched. You get a front 4k dash cam plus a rear dash cam, plus all necessary installation hardware, including a memory card, for 1/3 the cost of a comparable Garmin. The Rove doesn’t have a touch screen, and setup is somewhat tedious even for someone such as myself who is very tech savvy. All said and done though, this camera is proof that you can have an outstanding flagship device for very low cost, provided you’re willing to deal with some tedious installation and setup as well as forgo any extra cloud based support.

Sharp picture quality, good night vision, good screen size and display. I only installed the front camera but plan on connecting the rear camera soon. No problem with WiFi set up. I haven't tested the video lock and retrieval as yet. I hope I never need to but it's great for providing necessary proof of accident fault to insurance and law enforcement agencies. Great value for dual cameras.

This dash cam is great! I've been wanting a Rove for a while but my old dash cam was working just fine. Well, it finally crapped out on me so I was excited to buy this.I just happend to log in and there was a coupon that took the price down to $100. I also bought the parking mode wire harness. Both were easy to install. Took a minute to get through the firewall on my Jeep but that's a Jeep thing. Video quality is much better than my old 1080p camera. I will add a bigger sd card for storage. Wifi video transfer isn't that fast but it is faster on the 5ghz connection. I have mine set for 3 minute recording and it takes about 2 minutes to transfer a video from your camera to your phone.The rear camera is a huge plus. My back windows are tinted to 3% and it does well during the day. As long as there are street lights in at night, it does pretty well there too.

The only reason the product gets a 4 star was because the first rear dash cam I got was defective. However, if I could, I'd give the customer service a 6 star rating.They were able to help me troubleshoot my issues in real time. Even though the product was defective, they helped me replace it. Within about 3 weeks time, I was able to get a proper rear dash camera paired with the properly functioning front dash cam.The set up is also very easy. The only thing that'll take a little time is configuring the wire organization since every vehicle is built a bit different.The camera quality is also pretty good during the day & night. You're able to see everything necessary both in the front & rear. I highly recommend this product.

Love this so far. Easy to install, I like the suggestion of how to hide the wires. Connects great. The picture is superb. It's rained so hard sometimes, I've had to use the camera to see because the picture was clearer. Turns on as soon as I start my car (usually, sometimes you have to check the wires). You can save a video right away if something happens. I had an incident in which I couldn't save it right away, I had to wait til I got to safety, but it still saved the video. I wish I didn't have to pay for the parking set up separately and needed wiring and crap because my car got hit while it was parked and the cameras meant nothing. I do feel they are a good deterrent for criminals, usually. Good recording capability. Occasionally one of my kids or a passenger will snag the wire and rip the camera down by accident, but it's pretty durable. good quality for the price, great for a new driver, long trips or shady neighborhoods (better with parking cam). I would recommend

Son was in a traffic accident a week ago and seems like we see at least one a day around here. Due to this we decided to purchase cams for all of our vehicles. I Googled and found these cameras on all the Top 5 lists. So I decided to place the order and give them a chance. I don't have much experience with them but fortunately the nephew has a well-known brand name one that I can compare it to.The main thing I wanted to see in my comparisons was video quality. So I installed the cam and went for a ride. The first time was at night. From what I could tell its pretty close to one another. I couldn't compare apples to apples due to different weather conditions but was happy with the comparison.Next was the daytime comparison. I took several video clips from each and streamed to my TV. They both had a clean, crisp video. There is glare in the video but to be expected and was comparable to the more expensive unit. I will definitely be buying the lens filter for it.I wasn't there when my nephew's camera was installed but my brother-in-law said it was a bit challenging to get it up and running. I had zero issues with installing the unit and getting it fully operational. I think it took 5 minutes or less. I was a bit confused because when connected to camera's wifi you can't use your phone. I decided to read the manual and realized the phone doesnt have to be connected for it to record. You do wifi so you can tweak the camera or download videos/photos from camera. You can also adjust settings on the unit itself.In conclusion, I saved around $100 withthis unit and I feel the quality is just as good but ease of use is better. I also forgot to mention I have rear camera with this one where the other did not. I didn't include this in the review due not having installed it yet. I highly recommend this unit.
