It's nice although I think a little more interior detail would help.

Fun fun fun
The crafts person in me had to order this after a trip to Rome to make with two kids ages 5 and 8. I also got them the Make a Roman Amphitheater. Both were immediate hits with the 8 year old. I like the idea of the villa along with the amphitheater. The villa is quite unique!

The color and diagrams presented in this book are great!

Good but kids will need constant help.
Lovely item. Quality is good. Any kids under 11 will need adult help throughout. I even got stuck on a few items as instructions are not to good.had to reinforce the ground area with cardboard. Needed pva glue and prix stick for most parts. And tiny fingers too to make the flaps stick, ended up using a pencil and on some parts it didn't help. Roofs don't match colours wise. And diagram on front is opposite as to where buildings need to go, so yes, makes it hard to figure out where to place and glue them. My girl is 9 and the amount of scoring is mad... and some are not marked out so it is really down to your judgement. Overall good for money just wish the cartoon type instructions were easier to comprehend. Good luck .

Great for a school project.
fab - just what we needed for a school Roman project.Enjoyed building with my daughter. Alignments marks not perfectly positioned, but with my daughter doing the gluing, didn't matter.Very impressive when completed.Top tip - glue the base on to a piece of 5mm hardboard (or ply or similar chunk of wood). Makes it sturdy and lot easier to move around, and the base bends less when moving so buildings are less likely to "pop off".

Unclear instructions
It was a good product generally. The major problem were the instructions - not so great in comparison to the others in the set. It would show the bit you're making opposite so you have to be careful. Note one thing: everything which has orange on it WILL be covered and won't be visible in the final model. This is very important. A good product. I'd give a 5 star review if the instructions were clearerEdit: new problem, the base and everything dont match well. Where the orange is the walls may not fit on properly. Decreasing to 2 stars after this huge fault

Et Tu Brute!
I bought this for a school "Family Project". I just didn't fancy making something out of cornflakes boxes and painting it.This is a fabulous kit. It looks great. It's very nicely painted and relatively easy to build. It's a nice size, too.Make sure you have some good scissors. You will need something to score along the corners, too. I used a craft knife but something slightly blunter would have been fine.I stuck the base to some stiffer cardboard (Amazon box!) to make it more portable.I enjoyed it so much, I'm looking for an excuse to build te other ones in the series now!

Check you have ALL pages before assembling!!
Bought this for sons holiday homework project what he has done so far is great one problem though it's not until half way through he noticed half the needed pages were gone but were replaced with duplicate ones. A bit late to return as half the book is cut up so needing to order another one...we hope this one will contain all the needed pages. Other than that excellent quality paper...instructions could be clearerWould give 5 stars if all pages were there
