This DOES need batteries no charge line or lithium battery!!!!!!!!?!! despite what Rufus said. Even with batteries this unit did not work at all. Very unhappy Nana and 3 yr old grandson whose birthday present it was.

Didn’t work. I followed the (chinglish) instructions but, despite lights on both the car and controller coming on, the car doesn’t respond to the controller at all.
