If you are like me and have a limited slip differential that requires ...
What more can you say about this product? It is a genuine Ford Motorcraft product that fits the bill if you are changing your differential oil. While the price may seem steep to some when generic products are sold for half the price, keep in mind one important thing: If you are like me and have a limited slip differential that requires a friction modifier from Ford specifically, other no-name products contain additives within the oil already.I am pretty specific about the fluids I use so I always try to use manufacturer recommends parts, so I picked up a 4oz bottle of Ford friction modifier Genuine Ford Fluid XL-3 Friction Modifier Additive - 4 oz. and added it in to a quart bottle before pumping it in. You should not overload on the friction modifier so using a cheaper generic gear oil so using another brand would not have allowed me to add this additive as I wanted. While I am sure you can get away with using a different brand, I am more comfortable using the fluids recommended for my vehicle specifically. All in all, if you are in the market for real Ford 75W-140 differential oil, look no further. Shipping was extremely fast, the product arrive in good condition and it is what Ford calls for in their vehicles. I would highly recommend purchasing this product.

Use this...
In your Ford rear axle and all wheel drive power transfer units. Ford will tell you it's a lifetime fluid and doesn't need to be changed. Oils and lubricants break down from heat and use. Again, cheap insurance in changing these lubricants.

This is the best but the cost is a factor...
Motorcraft fluids for Ford vehicles are the way to go, especially if you have a vehicle about which ford claim has lifetime fluids. Nonsense. I used this particular product for the PTU in my smaller Ford SUV as my Taurus X had never had its PTU fluid changed in 160K and the original fluid was thick black goo and worthless. The seals are failing (thanks Ford) but I nonetheless changed out the fluid. My only complaint is that this product has doubled in price in just a few years (thanks again Ford) and I feel somewhat gouged. I remain a Ford fan but hope to impress on others that there are NO lifetime Fluids in your Ford.
