Love the vintage older version of Polly pocket and the keepsake collection brings back all the nostalgia. I got this as a gift for my niece last Christmas and I almost wanted to keep for myself. Super cute, same design as before and love that it has the note pads and stamps

Ok so here it is. I’m 42. Or 43. I can’t remember and honestly who cares. I’m a kid of the 1980s-1990s and have a voracious appetite for nostalgic toys. I could say I’m a collector- that would sound much more sophisticated than “I am a 44 year old woman-child who plays with toys”- but that might not be a true statement as I think “collectors” leave their items in the box. Well forget that! Life is short… so I opened the box. I took out the Polly’s and put them inside. I opened the ink pad. I stamped on the included cards. So I can now tell you how cool this thing is. So basically it’s a birthday party in a heart compact. Polly has presents upstairs next to her bed. There are presents by the door. There is a puppet show and a rabbit in a hat. There is a working ride on horse outside in the little park. In the center is a big table with a cake. Polly can hang out upstairs, downstairs, or in the park and even ride the little horse thing. Super cute. The inkwell is hidden under the cake. It comes sealed so you don’t have to worry about it leaking or drying out before you even open it. Here’s a tip – you don’t need to press very hard to get your stamp full of ink. Then under the little present and horse and the other little thing that looks like a tube, there are the stampers. I tried all of them and they do stamp very nicely. What can I say? If you are a 45-year-old woman Who loves nostalgic toys, this one definitely fits the bill.

I love the Polly Pocket Keepsake line. The playset is fantastic, and a wonderful way to celebrate 35 years of Polly Pocket magic. These new sets are famous for having quality control issues, but the ones I have purchased have all been beautiful with no flaws to speak of. The price point might be an issue for some, but there are sales occasionally… just keep checking. However, don’t wait too long to grab these compacts, because they are a limited time item, and it really sucks to miss one in the series. If you can afford it, definitely buy it. The nostalgia alone is worth it. I hope Mattel continues to release new sets. These really aren’t for the kiddos — they are for the collectors. I didn’t keep mine in the box. I knew from the beginning that I would be playing with and enjoying them. If you are a fan of this quintessential piece of the 90s, don’t miss out.
