Artwork is meh but beautiful book otherwise!
FuturePress has done it again! This guide is huge (even bigger than my bf's copy of Horizon Zero Dawn from them) and absolutely gorgeous to look at. The dedication FuturePress has to their craft is definitely worth the long wait for this guide. However, I am one of many who waited from March release of the game, waiting for this guide. This meant nothing to me as I put down the game to wait for the update to make the game more difficult (I was not enjoying it) and will be starting fresh now that it has hit.The lack of communication from FuturePress IS something I am noticing as I have also purchased their shoddy copy of Dark Souls: Remastered and they still have yet to realease any info on what or why that happened or what they will be doing to fix their glaring mistake. I am by no means really that upset, though, because they still put out excellent product the other precent of the time... And it could be worse. They could be Prima (I am looking at you, Dark Souls 3 guide.)Now, I have not used this guide yet so my only initial complaint thumbing through it is the poor quality artwork... And, well, lack of it. I don't think this is FuturePress's fault and may just be a lack of artwork for the game in general. Most of the art is just the same blurry screenshotted characters straight from the game over and over. A disappointment because the front cover is absolutely beautiful! Anyways, I will probably update this as I finally use it for the function of the guide itself.Other thing I noticed... This is a white book and SOMEHOW, Amazon, you got dirt INSIDE the sealed plastic. It was an easy clean but my book feels dusty/gritty and I have no clue how that even happened. There were no holes. Just weird. All in all, I am very happy!

Fantastic quality strategy guide, yet gross mishandling of printing causing 2 month shipping delay unacceptable.
This strategy guide is honestly one of the best and most comprehensive that I've seen for any game, which shows the dedication that was taken to make this. However, I simply cannot overlook the complete failure of Future Press on releasing the guide on time. When I'd originally purchased Ni No Kuni 2 on the PS4, I had preordered both it and this guide at the same time back during the start of March, with both showing a release date of March 23, 2018. After I'd received the game, I'd noticed that the release date for the strategy guide had mysteriously been pushed back more than a month to April 28, 2018. I wasn't horribly worried at the time, as I had other games I could finish up in the meantime, and it would probably arrive as I was just starting to play Ni No Kuni 2. Once April 28th came around, the release date changed yet again, with no expected date available for shipping. At this point, I was very upset, and even considered cancelling the order entirely, but decided not to, as I still had not completed the game or any of the post-game content. Another 3 weeks passed, and then on May 18th, 2018, almost 2 months after the game was released and, I finally got an e-mail saying the strategy guide was finally on the way. I received the guide 2 days later in the mail, and although I'm happy it arrived, I'm completely appalled that this even happened in the first place. I normally am not a regular purchaser of strategy guides, but all guides I've purchased in the past were *ALWAYS* released in a timely manner with the actual game release. If this rating was for the guide alone, I'd give it 5 stars in a heartbeat. However, with the late delivery of this guide making it more or less useless for the most part, as by that point I'd completed the main game and most post-game content, I can't condone giving it a fully positive rating.

Totally worth every penny!
Loved everything about it. Exactly what i expected. Its loaded with literally everything you need to know about the game and how to %100 the game obviously. The only things ive noticed that are a little unfortunate is that it doesnt include any information relating to the DLC that came out after the release. And another thing that i noticed a few times is when your trying to complete some errands or tasks, the guide will tell you where/what u need to aquire to complete it and notice that when i go to those places to get the item, it wont be there but then would later find out that i needed to complete other quests around that one in order for that item to appear at sakd places.Kinda wish it would say "Must complete errand #( ) In order to complete" That would have helped. but other then that. its so great. Makes playing the game alot funner with knowing how to do things better and spending countless hours looking through the book gaining tips and such.Sorry this was so long haha, im freacking love this game, and advidse anyone to buy this book.

The Best
The media could not be loaded. Future Press makes the best companion books, period. And that’s what they are, they’re not just simple guides like most games unfortunately get. This team is small but they are passionate. Every game they have covered has been approached uniquely and thoroughly, and while the nature of how they work does sometimes lead to delays, it’s always worth the wait. This guide is massive, almost 700 pages, and everything is easily organized and beautifully written. Whether you want to go through the game with the book, just use it when you need it, or just have a written and illustrated celebration of Ni No Kuni 2, this book is a must have. Can’t wait for the Remastered Dark Souls Guide for the Remastered Dark Souls. Keep up the amazing work, Future Press.

Perfect guide for the game.
This guide has so much information. What makes guides great is while reading it, I feel like I am playing the game. I get so immersed in the guide that it feels like an expansion to the game. This guide has everything you need to get 100%. Of course I wish the guide came out at the same time as the game, but there is still so much more I need to do that the guide is going to help me with. The guide also seems like it is designed in a way for easy reading and understanding. The pictures are easy to see and provide so much information. I thought I was more than 50% done with the game, but now I see I am not even close.

Thiccest guide of them all
I absolutely love hardback game guides, this bad boy is the biggest of them all and a significant improvement on the Original Ni No Kuni Guide, whilst that was pretty, the pictures and descriptions were far too small and vague to be of much use.As this came out close to a month later I've been playing Ni No Kuni 2 pretty solid for a few weeks, I got through half the story and actually enjoy discovering things and going on the hunt. I've not used the story section of this guide. However, where this guide comes into play is the sidequests, and boy there are a lot. I was getting frustrated looking online for answers and help, this guide has made it so simple and fun to complete them. It gives great advice and tips against tainted monsters, hunting for citizens, trashing enemy troops and how to best utilise your kingdom to complete those tricky quests. The pictures are much larger and clearer, instructions are hugely helpful and this is a significant improvement on the previous guide, if you're hunting for that Platinum, want to kidnap/invite every citizen possible, beat up Flappy then I cannot recommend this guide enough. My cat hates it though since it's so huge and covers most of my lap, sorry Shinx

One of the best
I received this yesterday after preordering a few weeks ago. This is such a fantastic guide. It's absolutely massive and covers literally everything. I've already been playing Ni No Kuni 2 since it was released but I was so worth buying the guide. It clearly points things out in the main story section you could easily miss and which I did until I dived into this wonderful boom, e.g. side quests, hidden higgledies that you can't access until you learn certain spells. It covers in depth the development and building of Evermore, and a break down of Skirmish battles. I own a lot of hard back collectors guides and this is one of the best. It's user friendly and the quality of the book itself and it's pages is excellent. Very happy gamer!

It's a good book but I'm not sure...
Its full, full, full of information, so much information. Page after page of stats and numbers. I wish there were more glitz and glamour to it but there just isn't. If you really need all the info then knock yourself out. If on the other hand you wanted something with more character and charm, then I wouldn't bother.Spend your well earned bottle tops on something else.Cheers Steve

Beautiful and informative
I found this guide to be a lot easier to follow than previous guides I have brought and the paper quality is beautiful, it doesn't leave you with inky feeling fingers. The hard cover doesn't bend and it feels solid and like it won't break which is amazing especially for the paper. So much information but laid out easily and it only takes a second for me to find anything I need such as side quests etc. Beautiful art on front and back. Overall a beautiful purchase.

The guide references the controls for PS and not for PC
Great guide and beautifully illustrated and done. 1 and only frustration is that the controls referenced in the book are all for PlayStation and not for PC (which I bought it for) which makes it annoying trying to figure out and cross reference the controls.
