Cyprus Double Walled Glass Mug

Pros: Big 16 oz capacity, keeps drinks warm, Good Ergonomic shape, nice to look at Cons: No lid to help retain heat longer or to help with spills, glass bottom is sometimes slippery on certain surfaces. This is an awesome little mug I have a big heavy duty mug that always seems to make my hands feel like they did a small workout by the time the bottom of the cup is reached, but this thing is surprisingly light almost a little to light. I have flung this thing around a little more than I should and the hot liquid down my arms always a nice reminder of it's near weightlessness​ compared to some other mugs around the house. hHowever this is a feature I have come to love. I drink 3 or 4 of these filled per day with my loose leaf tea brews and it performs well under this type of usage. From previous reviews written, I decided to only hand wash this and after months of daily use There are no chips dents or scratches to speak of. One of the things I woul have like to see is a separate lid option, as I said this thing is light and without being mindful it's quite easy to knock over, i have been lucky so far. As if seeing bad things in the future even if it were to break Tommorrow I would happily buy another.

I've been using this mug several times a week for over a year now and it has worked out very well. I also ordered one for my mom and she loves it. I've looked at a lot of other glass double-walled mugs, but these have the most beautiful appearance IMO and are lighter than the Bodum ones I've also tried. But I'm sure others out there would have worked out as well as these. The main reason I don't use this mug every day is because it actually does such a good job retaining heat that my coffee/tea takes a while to cool down. I have a sensitive tongue and don't like drinking extremely hot beverages, so I typically have to wait a while (5-7 minutes?) for hot drinks to cool down enough to drink. So I use this when I want to make a strong herbal tea -- I heat the water to boiling and let the tea steep for 20 minutes or so in this mug, and then it's nice & strong yet still warm. I've seen a lot of reviewers complain about fragility. I haven't found it to be fragile or had to be especially gentle with this, though I have never put it into the dishwasher -- I always wash it by hand (though I wash everything by hand). So far, so good. I'll update this review if my mug breaks and I would attribute that to shoddy craftsmanship rather than user error. If you have a lot of users in your house who are likely to crash this beautiful mug into granite countertops, then stay away. But if you'll adore looking at it and washing it by hand, you'll love it!

I like to gently sip my coffee in the morning without the fear of it cooling down too quickly while using a mug cool to the touch. Plop a little coaster on top to seal it and your coffee stays hot for a long time! If that’s the kind of coffee drinking action you’re looking for, well this is the mug for you. I’ve tried those electric ones that keep the bottom warm — no. It’s also relatively lightweight compared to another one I bought (CNGLASS 17oz) but still feels sturdy enough to survive the infrequent accidental dings it receives from frequent use in the kitchen. Dishwasher safe too, at least it seems so for me! Stop looking around at all the other mugs since this one is legit. Enjoy!

I had some basic requirements when I set out to buy a drink cup for use at work: 1) 100% QUALITY Glass: Material. Material. Material. a. Leaching: Glass is the ideal material for holding hot drinks as it does not leach any unwanted flavors into the beverage. b. Cleanability: Quality glass does not stain. You may have to scrub but anything dried on WILL eventually wipe off. c. Transparency: This is both aesthetically pleasing as well as functional. I know how much I have left and when it needs to be cleaned out. 2) Form Factor: Sized just right. a. 16oz: I don't want to have to keep several trips to the cafeteria so 16oz is a must. b. Wide Opening: This is very rare and very underrated. With the nice wide opening I can easily fit my hand in there to clean it out. No fancy brush needed. c. Short 4.75" Height: The coffee dispensers here have a short clearance height and this just barely sneaks in while still holding 16oz. The double wall is just gravy on top of the above. There is some additional insulation and it looks just spectacular without the added weight. The handles is also perfect to tethering a teabag. I cannot recommend this cup enough. My one and only reservation was durability given the relatively thin glass but I have been progressively less careful with it and have had no problems at all. I don't doubt that dropping it will cause it to shatter though.

Such thin, terrible-quality glass, it's guaranteed to break. And break. And keep breaking. Oh, you dropped your tea spoon into the glass, like you do with any other thousands of glasses? Too bad, broken glass for you. Oh, your glass fell over in the sink? Broken glass for you. The sad part is that I love this glass, have bought it 8 times (due, you guessed it, to repeated breakage), because it's the perfect shape, volume and balance, but I guess that's the company's intention: give you breakable glass so you have to keep buying until you get fed up. They should send 3 for every 1 you order.

This is the second one of this product I have purchased. I loved the first one, which lasted over a year of daily use before it cracked around the handle. I noticed in the product information that came with the mug that it says double walled glasses are not recommended for the microwave, which is how I had been using it. It keeps the beverage warm, and does hold 16 oz if filled to almost the brim. Since I prefer to use my mug in the microwave I have also purchased the Anchor Hocking Cafe Mug 16 oz which is sturdier & OK for the microwave, and keeps the beverage almost as hot as this one.

I like to see the colors and layers of my beverage with the added benefit of being lightweight and comfortable to handle with a little pinky rest.

Es genial, ahora cojo la taza y no me quemo por el doble vidrio que tiene, entonces me quemo la lengua directamente si me empano. Recomiendo.

This product is quite outstanding. I was looking for a large glass mug for my tea. I wanted to ensure it could withstand heat otherwise, a breaking cup with hot tea could be very unsafe. I thought the cost was excessive until I realized as a double walled mug you can't feel the heat. This mug is well balanced and holds a log of liquid. I am very pleased with this product and will order more. There is a big difference between double and single wall glass mugs. I am impressed with this quality.

Die Tasse ist echt super. Das Glas wird selbst bei kochendem Wasser nur so warm, dass man es noch gut anfassen kann. Auch die Größe hat sehr überzeugt. Kann ich nur weiterempfehlen!

I bought both this mug and one of the 'Keep Calm' double skinned ceramic mugs. We had a 'shoot out' and the results: 1. Insulation: The Grosche wins hands down despite not having a lid it keeps your drink warm for significantly longer, in fact I'm not convinced that the 'Keep Calm' mug insulates that much better than a standard mug. 2. Capacity: if you like a big drink, the Grosche holds noticeably more liquid 3. Weight: this is personal preference, the Grosche is amazingly light but does not feel fragile (haven't dropped it yet!); the 'Keep calm' is quite weighty and feels robust 4. Aesthetics: The 'Keep Calm' is a lovely design and exudes quality; the Grosche isn't as pleasing on the eye but is well made 5. Maintenance: both mugs are fine in the dishwasher

Bellissima da vedere e tiene il caldo a lungo! È diventata subito la mia tazza preferita.
