Bought this set to use for my artwork. It worked fine. Inexpensive and lightweight plastic

The seller shipped these inside a rather flat carton. Fortunately, there were other items in the order, and Amazon shipped them together in a carton, so they arrived safely. The items have approximately the same thickness, and the compass has a small case that snaps to protect it. I wanted some small, thin triangles and straight rules ("rulers" for most people today) for sketching that need to fit into a fairly shallow clipboard container. These and a few French curves from another set are adequate for my use. If you need something for frequent use you might consider metal items, which are much less likely to break and are likely to be scored or well marked for various measurement scales.

You get what you pay for. Cheaply made. There are many chipped and uneven edges, defeating these tools' purpose entirely. Save your money and spend a little more on a well-made set.
