Do you remember old hairnets for buns? Smooth, lightweight and stretchy.
We built a large, tall enclosure for our berry bushes and vines. This material is much sturdier than other netting we'd used. As I was putting it up on our frame it reminded me of the old fashioned hairnets used in a bygone era. It did not tangle up on its self or grab on to everything it came in contact with. Our frames long sides are 23' and 8' tall. I was able without much trouble to adjust and arrange the netting alone. This is not to say it didn't snag on some things. I lost a few berries to the net. Plus it snagged on cable binding and I nearly lost my mind. It is not super strong, better than some, but our 70lb 2yr old lab mix got tangled up in the netting while I as up on the ladder. After I settled him down and got him out I noticed that the netting had torn over three of the 2x4 ends. The odds of a 70lb bird getting stuck in the netting are doubtful so I'm fairly sure this netting is going to work well to keep our berries safe. I should add the other types of netting we've used would have been much harder to get the dog out of. The nature of this material made it very easy.

Kills Birds and Animals
Bought this to put over my blueberry bushes---otherwise birds/chipmunks/squirrels will strip the blueberries. This netting looked good, and the right size. Problem is it's too light and thin. Birds fly right into it and get caught, struggle, and die. Small animals manage to get under it, then get hung up trying to get out. And die. After cutting out 4 dead birds, and managing to free 3 others, and cutting out 2 dead chipmunks, I took it off. Will burn it so it doesn't get dumped into the environment and kill more animals. Don't buy this stuff---it's a killer. And it tangles like mad with any branches and sticks. Stick with the thicker plastic netting.

Very effective for chicken protection
I bought the 50 x 50' net to fully enclose a portion of my yard to protect my chickens from aerial predators while they free range. It was a frustrating installation experience (due to a few avoidable mistakes) but I'm happy with the results and impressed by the strength of the material. My advice for others is to never lay the net down on top of any twigs/sticks/leaves when you're unraveling. Instead, find a corner and slowly anchor it one section at a time and unravel either in your hands or on a clean surface like a tarp. A second person is essential. I made the blunder of putting this down beneath a redwood tree. The material is so fine that it acts like Velcro for all the sticks and debris which then pin the netting at various points and make unraveling very tedious. But the material is extremely strong - when I was disentangling I could pull hard enough to snap sticks but the netting would survive. It also does not knot on its own - the smooth material pulls free if you give it a tug provided there is nothing in the way. I'm very happy with the results!

Keeps predators away but so hard to install
We are in our second year of using this to cover our Chicken and Duck coops and runs. We ordered new netting, which is now starting to tear and wear down. But, we are pleased it lasted that long before having to buy new. I would say it does tear a bit, so be careful when installing it. We lost a few chickens before using this, and now chickadees are the only birds that can get into it. Install on a day when you have much patience. When unraveling, it can get messy - so have a few people helping. Otherwise, it really does keep the predators away.

Nice, heavy duty betting for gardens
Kept the pesky birds out of my raspberries, and my husband built an incredible frame on my garden and put this around it to keep the rest of the critters out. Worked perfectly.

Didn’t work for us. Not goat, starling or short people friendly
We had a large cherry tree to cover. We were never able to get it over the top because we didn’t have a bucket truck or Paul Bunyan or the Jolly Green Giant to help us. First the net picked up an twigs and sticks on the ground, which we had to remove before trying to lift it up. We finally just gave up and started wrapping it around the bottom of the tree, once we had it up about 1/2 way to the top on three sides. The first morning after we put it up, three yearling goats got their horns and heads wrapped up in it. Had to cut them out. Then that afternoon a young starling got all tangled up in it - cut her out and she was able fly away. That evening more goats were caught up in it. I just kept cutting the net away. This morning had another starling tangled up. She was not happy and repeatedly bit me but I was able to cut her loose. I watch the goats go and try to get caught up and see if they could get loose. They can now that the net shredded and just hanging in strings from the branches. I’m returning the second one I bought for my other cherry tree. Maybe after these trees are trimmed this fall I’ll try a net next year. It may be easier to sit out there with noise makers once the cherries are ripe though.

Incredibly difficult to put it place and local wildlife easily becomes entangled in net!
Whilst this product may be effective in keeping the critters out, it was INCREDIBLY DIFFICULT to place over my large fig tree. It caught on the bark on the ground and on every branch, leaf, etc. Also, two large rats were found dead in the netting and had to be cut out to be removed. This left large holes that had to be repaired. Finally, a Hermit Thrush bird became entangled in the netting. Luckily, I witnessed the event from my window and was able to cut it out of the netting, then carefully cut the remaining netting from its body before transporting it to our local wildlife rehabilitation hospital. The netting was then removed from the fig tree and trashed the next day. So, whilst it may be "effective," it ultimately proved to be time consuming in putting in place, disgusting in having to remove dead rats and disheartening in endangering migrating birds. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this product.

Keeps the smallest of birds out. Good value.
We used this on our 26’x10’x6’ greenhouse tunnel frame. The netting is generously long. The 1” mesh is fine enough to keep the smallest of birds out but will still allow bees to move through it with ease. We keep ours pulled taught (it stretches easily enough) so birds won’t be tangled in it. For this you will need to order small clamps to clip it to a frame as they aren’t included. The netting is fine enough that it isn’t highly visible from a distance so it isn’t an eyesore.
