Hello, For this size, I would say about 4-6 letters max, and to display the 11 to 14 letters as you would like on a sign like this, you will need to use the scrolling effect function. Please kindly note. Best regards, Olive LED

Q: Does it measure temperature?

No. It does not measure the tempurature.

Q: How is power supplied to sign? Hardwired, plug in?

It needs standard 120 volt plug-in power.

Q: How do you program different messages? Is it all done with the remote, or can you hook up to pc?

This particular sign is a Remote Control sign, thus you can only program with Remote controller. You can program up to 99 different messages and 500 characters per message. You can also choose specific messages from a index to display on the sign. There is a PC controlled LED Sign which will cost more money. The PC control Sign communicates with CAT 5 cable (LAN connection).
