Overall the ornament was on par with the other light house ornaments in this set. One thing o noticed right away is that the blinking light is really bright. Took me a second but I quickly realized it’s one of those new led lights, kinda cool overall. But, when compared to the other ornaments I decided, the classic light bulb light was “more enjoyable” to watch from a distance. Definitely buy this to complete your set but know that the light shines differently than the other light houses. Still nice, but I liked the older bulbs better.

Been collecting this series for 37 years and never disappoints!

I've been collecting these little houses for many years. They are the dominant ornaments on my tree each year. People comment on them all the time. I used to put them on the little twirling engines so they would spin around, and you can see all sides but my tree these days is more like a pencil tree so there isn't enough room for rotating ornaments. I just love these little houses and look forward to the latest edition every year.

My mom started buying these for me the first year they came out. I continued buying them for myself as an adult and have never missed a year. I was so disappointed when this one showed up. It’s much bigger in scale than the others and they did a barber shop/beauty shop in 2004. If they’re going to change the scale and start repeating, maybe it’s time to finally bring this series to a close.

If she doesn’t get it, I’m pretty sure Christmas itself might be canceled. "Oh, I just love how the hallmark houses are sitting by the mantle with such care, Mom!" or "I wonder what this year’s house will look like..." It’s almost like a nonverbal contract at this point. The ornament is a gift she’d never say no to—because she’s already planning where it will go in her collection. The way she lights up when she gets it? Priceless.She has a whole shelf, specifically dedicated to this yearly ritual, where each little house holds a spot in the family Christmas lore. I might not get her a present for the rest of the year, but as long as I get the Hallmark house, we’re good.So, Hallmark, consider this a yearly subscription for my daughter-in-law’s happiness. You’ve got a loyal customer. I’ll just be over here making sure she doesn’t find out where I hide it before Christmas.
