Worked great even without a roof rackI was honestly worried this wouldn’t work since I don’t have a roof rack, but it held up really well. The hooks that go into the car doors felt super secure, and I didn’t have any issues with it shifting or moving while driving.It was easy to use overall. The instructions could be a little clearer, but I figured it out pretty quickly and got it on without a problem. Once it was all set up, it gave us way more space for our trip and kept everything completely dry even through heavy rain.Really solid bag, plenty of room, and a great option if you need extra storage. I’d definitely recommend it.

This was a last minute purchase, as we had more stuff than we thought we did, and it fit SO much. This is so much better than any hard-shell roof storage, and more affordable. The quality is nice and thick, it thrived in the rain and the wind. we used it on our RAV4 LE, and it was completely stable. we didn’t hear or feel any movement at all the entire time. It was nice having the straps being able to fold up so there’s no tapping on the windows. This was the exact design we were looking for in our travels, and it delivered within 24 hours!

Only used for one vacation so far, but held up great, had no issues, and holds a lot of stuff! We filled it to the max and it saved so much space inside the vehicle. Great quality and hope it lasts through many vacations.

Unfortunately, my experience with this product has been less than satisfactory.Firstly, the installation process was incredibly challenging and frustrating. The instructions provided were unclear, and the straps and buckles were of poor quality, making it difficult to secure the bag properly to the roof of my car. It took me a significant amount of time and effort to finally get it installed, which was quite disappointing.Furthermore, the durability of the cargo carrier bag was highly disappointing. After just two uses, I noticed tears and damages on the bag's surface, rendering it ineffective for any future trips. It's worth noting that I didn't exceed the speed limit or drive aggressively on the freeway, yet the bag couldn't withstand even moderate usage. This lack of durability is a major drawback, as the bag is supposed to provide reliable protection for your belongings during transportation.On a positive note, I must admit that the cargo carrier bag did have a commendable carrying capacity. It provided ample space for my belongings, allowing me to transport a significant amount of cargo. However, this positive aspect is overshadowed by the bag's other drawbacks, particularly its difficulty to install and its poor durability.

Looking at the reviews the day before my 3000 mile trip scared me but this thing really put in work. I had no problems with it during my trip. Just make sure you follow the instructions to a tea. It didn’t shift while driving, no noise, I checked the straps to tighten them every few hours on the road and it didn’t even need to be tightened at all. Encounter a thunder and rain rainstorm and crazy winds (felt my car not taking the wind well going fast but the roof pack didn’t budge or break). Going from CA to NC with this was a blessing.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:I drove 3000 miles with this packed to the gill. I loved it. It was secure, no slip I drove through rain storms everything stayed dry. BUT!! I stopped in Albuquerque New Mexico and someone took a knife to it, sliced it open and stole half of my items. There was too much in there to steal everything. They also cut one of the straps, I had the extra ties and used that bought some gorilla tape and taped up the carrier, went on my way about another 1000 miles. Absolutely get this! I will get another one if I need it.

Unfortunately the return window closed while I was still in the process of moving and didn’t have internet, or else I would have asked for a refund. Despite following all instructions and thoroughly and repeatedly checking for any holes or damage, the waterproof component was laughable. It rained for about 3 hours near the beginning of my 15 hour drive. The rain didn’t come in through the zippers, instead anything that touched the top of the cargo carrier was wet when I removed it many hours later at my destination. If it hadn’t rained I think I would’ve written a good review; it’s large, easy to use, instructions are clear, etc., so that’s why I’ve given it at least 3 stars even though my things got wet (thankfully I had only packed soft things and everything could be washed and/or hung out to dry, but the cost of washing and drying all of that wasn’t small!).
