This a great wire cutter for soap loafs. Cut was clean. Some movement, so cuts are straight but dont expect exact cut dimensions.

I brought this product for a soft and melt base soap, this did not work at all! The wire would not cut through and even when I tighten the wire it still did not work. All it did was snap the wire so now I am one wire down. My soaps were cut uneven and it was a waste of money. I will not return this product it will cost me more time and waste of gas for 20 bucks I will just call it a lost!

I purchased this wooden soap cutter to help me with my soap making and to be able to cut my soaps more evenly this is very well made and yes you will need to put it together I feel it is worth the money I paid and will make my soaps give a more unified and professional appearance I have not had the chance to use this cutter yet but will do so very soon makes a great gift to any crafter and besides you can use this cutter for cutting bread or cheeses the possibilities are endless I highly recommend this product

This soap cutter is affordable and the quality of the material is good, however, the execution and functionality of this cutter is lacking. The wire and the groove of the slot aren’t aligned properly. With smaller slivers of soap, it cuts through without a problem. Larger bars do not cut through at all. My husband added some scrap wood to it to give it height and I was able to successfully cut thicker bars of soap!I’m disappointed that it didn’t work as expected. I didn’t want to go through the hassle of returning the cutter and plus I couldn’t get over how affordable the cutter is, so I decided to keep it.It was fairly easy to put together. It’s easy to use and clean. It’s pretty small, so storage is easy. I only wish that it work properly.
