Grainy but good
Good quality. Only reason not 5 stars is the texture. This is very grainy. Think sand. I usually get a powder and was expecting that. Probably my fault. Im sure I missed it in the description. Nonetheless, it's good quality.

Not a fine granule, as advertised...
I purchased this to make a face mask as well as a toothpaste. However, the granules were so big that I could not achieve a paste-like consistency.

What on earth is the black rocks?
Bentonite clay should be very fine, and extremely smooth. I work with powders and pigments for a living, and while I don't have a microscope at home to verify the size of this bentonite, putting it in a jar, with a stir bar, and letting it run for 4 hours... there's BLACK particles so large, and heavy, I can't even get them up off the bottom of the jar.In the 20g that I used, I estimate that there was over 1g of these large particles! If you want the lowest quality Bentonite Clay you can find, this is it! I've never seen cheap cat litter (pure bentonite clay) with this much impurities. (they do have their share of larger particle sizes, but they are clearly the same material as the finer particles).I returned this for a refund. I picked this brand because I use one of their products at work, and I assumed it was high quality. I'll never buy from this brand again. Even the most simple mesh would've caught this.

Easy to mix in shaker bottle
Using this clay as a nutritional supplement to purge body of heavy metals. Easy to mix in shaker bottle with smoothie ingredients. Not aware of any taste as it is covered by other ingredients.

Great product
I bought this to make toothpaste but have so much leftover so I made a face mask and wow, incredible results! Just 1 part clay to 2 parts water, mix with a wooden utensil and apply to face and body. 20 mins max, wash off well. Skin results are smooth and refreshed. We didn't like the clay toothpaste, it wasn't for us and we prefer a softer substance. But for anyone curious to try it, it does clean the teeth well and you can get nice bamboo wood toothbrushes on here that work well with it. I also recommend a wooden scoop to transfer the toothpaste and glass jar with an airtight lid.

Not a Powder
Ive been using bentonite clay-both externally and externally-for a couple of years, now. And I was quite put out by the granular texture of what i naturally assumed would be a powder. Also, actual powders are easy and straight forward to mix with water (product, water, shake well, done), but not so with this product.Ive found that pouring the granules over the water is best with this one. The granules absorb the water naturally, very little need to mix. Much less lumpy mixing it in this way, and overall quite good for external use. I havent taken it internally, yet-just not very appealing! :/

Listen to all the negative reviews
It clumps, it won't mix in water properly - not even to make a proper face mask as the clay doesn't stay on your skin - it's too clumpy/slimy, you have to use a coffee grinder (which is stainless steal - which apparently deactivates it) to blend it into a powder form, even then it's gritty on your teeth, there are black granules in it which is super sketchy, it's supposedly food grade but I highly doubt it, the only thing I would use this for is pond sealing to be honest - if I had a pond to seal. Buyer beware and buy elsewhere.
