These are extremely cheap grow lamps and i can remember when things like this first came out they would have easily cost 3 times this price.These are powered via usb and have a mix of red and blue lights, blue is normally used to get nice green plants and the red spectrum is more for the flowering and fruits to get growing etc.The mix of them together do grow good healthy plants!These also have a built in timer.Good price and i would recommend these...

I knew that these needed to be connected with a USB cable but didn’t realise that they aren’t rechargeable. I was hoping to use them in the greenhouse to give seedlings a good start but unfortunately I don’t have an electricity supply in there. I will have to rethink my use of these to see if they can be utilised on a window sill indoors. The two panels are quite small but the lights seem very bright

These grow lights cast a pinky glow which might not be what you were after in your home.They are narrow band lights and not full spectrum or broad band grow lights as advertised.Every colour has an effect on plant growth and these red and blue lights will spur on plants to flower or fruit but ultimately plants will do better and be healthier under a white full spectrum light.I would also question whether these strips are indeed water proof, simply because they don’t look it.The timer function is handy and works well as does the dimmable function. I found installation to be simple and can be achieved in a couple of ways to fit around your set up.I would use these lights as a secondary lighting system and they should keep my chilli plants fruiting for longer.They are inexpensive and simple to use, and ok for house plants that you’d like to see flowering and leafy, but ultimately all plants would do better under a white full spectrum light.I hope you find my review helpful.

I use these lights on a wire plant shelf. I had some puck lights on one shelf, but they did not do the job I needed to give the whole shelf light. These lights do that and do it well. Since I have them on a wire shelf, I used the cable ties to install them onto my shelf bottom. The timing function is easy to use and works well so far. The only thing the manufacturer should let you know, is a USB block is not included - you need to supply one of your own.

So, these are perfect for my little seedlings because they have the hue that helps seedling sprout and grow in their first stages!I love that I can lay them right on top of the plastic domes as you see here because they are not too warm.The timer function is convenient and works great!So, why the 4 stars? Well, I feel very comfortable using 2 of the lights on a 20” x 10” container. However, in the description photos they show them lighting up shelves. With the size of these as you can see in the photos (although I do have large hands - man sized hands you might say), I honestly don’t think that the light would be strong enough to hang them any higher than they are as they sit on my seedling box. So, if you do decide to get them and hang them on shelves, please watch for the stems of the seedlings getting long and falling over. This is an indication that the seedlings are not getting enough light.For indoor type plants, I can give this product 4 stars because they don’t need as much light as vegetable seedlings or plants that need strong sunlight.But for vegetable seedlings especially, they need very strong lights in order to do well.Also, it says waterproof. However, I think that this is a mistype. If you look at the photos, there is no protective plastic covering to these lights. That is the circuit board you see in the photos. That tells me that these are not waterproof.And as a closing note, as you can see by the photos, they don’t come with a power adapter so you must supply your own. Fortunately, I have several of these but I know that you possibly may not have one to use.Hope this information helps you figure out if these are the best option for you.

These lights didn't work properly. When I plugged them in and turned them on, they were quite dim. Pushing the brightness selector button just turned the lights off altogether. Which means there are just two settings for these lights: dim and off. Neither works for my needs.I definitely cannot recommend these lights. Spend a little more and get lights that actually work.

These quite bright LED lights are not quite what I expected. They are basically pieces of thin metal embedded with LED lights, and then sealed with a transparent gel-like coating that I assume to be the waterproof/water resistant film.The (adjustable) light is certainly bright coming from the LEDs. However, I'm not sure it is sufficient to reach the short plants, at a distance between my shelves of 18". I'm going to have to put the seedlings on some kind of raised pedestal to get the full benefit of the lights. Tall plants, though - I'm thinking my orchids - might fare better.Two other concerns. First, I don't know exactly how waterproof these lights will be. If water spills out of the saucers and pots above the light, and trickles down, is it going to short the light? Will this be a safety hazard? Second, I've attached the lights with the (included) cable ties, and while that method works, it doesn't look so great on my cute white shelf.I'm okay with these semi-industrial looking style LED plant lights but I much prefer the gooseneck standing or clamp style that has plastic housing and looks a bit more like a 'real' lamp.

These lights are so thin and light it's almost surreal. They are so easy to mount just about anywhere with a piece of tape or zip tie. The light is bright and my plants love it. Recommended.
