Splits better than any axe Ive used including my maul. Nice holder too hang it up with too.

Used this hand held short version for felling silver birch trees in my garden, going to burn logs so not wasted...this axe,like most, arrive without a honed edge.This is not an issue for this wee axe, straight cut and angled cuts are perfect, made short work of those trees. Easy grip shaft..All in all a very good tool to have, also doesn't take too long to put an edge on it with a sharpening tool or stone.this will last a lifetime...fantastic product and a reasonable price..

Perfect size for splitting wood blocks down to size for firelighters. Nice weight. Only fault is lack of grip compared to the bigger gardena/husqvarna range. Some tennis tape will solve that problem.

Seems like a good axe. Have read a couple of reviews about this and other axes from different brands arriving 'blunt', but not sure if people think axes are mean to be shaving sharp... As oppose to sharp enough to break/cut the fibre of the wood. Regardless gave it a go on a tree with branches a couple of inches thick and it made short work of the branch in question.

light weight well balanced and blunt as a ducks bum. did the job of cutting through tree roots with some effort.good peace of kit but could of been a lot sharper as it does have a protective housing.

Haven't used it yet but am impressed by the following. 2/3rds of the weight is in the axe head so it should swing through the air well. The axe blade is not sharp which I like. It feels safer and and cutting wood is more about weight and speed than sharpness.But what I really like is that the axe comes with a protective case for the blade which can be mounted easily on a shed wall using a screw.So far it looks like a quality item.

I bought this to split some seasoned logs that are very chunky and too big for our log burner. I know you need to get the axe to hit the split area if there is one or with grain but this thing just walloped through them some effort required on the really hard woods but so as so good awesome axe.

This was kind of a shock when we got this in the mail that it was a bit smaller than our other axe's. Thought that it would be an issue, but after a few swings with it felt great.
