For your Tomorrow we gave our today
The force behind the forces is a collection of stories about the Indian army wives who as the title mention are the force behind the forces. The stories narrated in the book are a roller coaster of emotions as they make you both happy and sad. What the book never fails to do is to motivate you, All the stories in the book are so inspiring and fill you with josh. The stories mentioned in the book move you and leave you speechless as they start with such happiness and almost always end with such pain. One story which touched me and was really inspiring was the story of Lance Naik Raj Kumar Mahto's wife. One has to read her story to believe how she rose against all odds with her perseverance. The stories tell us about the role AWWA (Army Wives Welfare Association) play in the life of these veer Narees. I would like to applaud the efforts of the author who brought life the stories and make the reader live through them as if we are a part of the family of men in uniform and their wives.Must read for all Indians.

A grim reminder to the nation
Real life military stories are hard to write. There is always a risk of getting sensationalized and turning charectors into larger-than-life figures. At the other extreme the narration can easily stoop to the level of shoddy newspaper style reporting without the touch of creativity. But the author, Swapnil Pandey has done well to keep the right balance. "The Force Behind the Forces" is again a grim reminder to the nation about the role of Army in keeping the "incredible" Indian democracy rolling.

Often those stories stay unread. @swapnil_pandey_author ma'am did a great work in bringing out those stories. There are circumstances in life that would never go as planned. In those moments we often feel defeated but these families lose their husbands, sons, and brothers yet go ahead in life facing every difficulty. These Veer Naris are not only the support system of the family but also of the forces. The way you look at pain and handle is how you live life. These women were left in circumstances when a normal person would have no hope. With whom they shared the vows of a lifetime were now left alone. But the reason they are the veer naris is that they fought their every battle of life just like their soldiers without fear.A must-read book gives you insight into the journey of life that's often not brought into the light. What it gives is those thousands of names and stories that remain unheard. May we conserve all these stories in our hearts with the hope to build a better world.
