Fleta, prince of tenors
This is a very complete cd, with some of the most famous arias of a tenor's repertoire. Fleta sang always with a golden voice, clear, limpid and full of power. The second part of the cd gives us a very touching, beautiful rendering af some popular songs and jotas (Amapola is specially beautiful). "Jota" is a popular song from Aragon, native homeland of Fleta. He renders a magnificent version of all those very difficult songs. Finally, we have some excerpts form zarzuela. The sound is not perfect, but the voice you get is the natural voice of the singer. His voice is as beautiful as Caruso's (probably more beautiful). This natural voice comes to us without the sofisticated tricks that sound engineres use today. I like that sound. You won't regret his excellent rendition. Fleta is the prince of tenors.
