The pump is quickly takes vacuum down to a full vacuum on the included gauge. I don't have a micron gauge, so can't tell if it gets down to AC/Refrigeration levels, but suspect that it does given the good behaviour. It has been run for about a half hour total so far, with many individual powerings on, and has worked perfectly every time. It seems to work flawlessly as far as I can tell without a more sensitive vacuum gauge. I will be using it a fair bit for the next several weeks, and will report back if the pump changes behaviour. Purchasers should note that the lid is acrylic, not glass. When I first purchased the set, one of the illustration photos showed a glass lid, presumably from an earlier version of the product. I saw the statement on the photo, and missed the comment in the text, and thought I was ordering a set with a glass lid. The acrylic lid and included valve and gauge system work perfectly, but I preferred a glass lid. I pointed out the inconsistency to Orion Motor Tech, and they generously and quickly offered a full refund, but I elected to keep the kit because I like the pump, and can work around the lid issue. OMT was unaware of the inconsistency until I provided a screenshot showing where the incorrect information was. Their response was to immediately apologize for the confusion and state that they would pass the information on to the necessary department to have the matter corrected. In a nutshell, the company's response to my concerns was quick, thorough, and generous. Bottom line is that both Orion Motor Tech, and this kit are highly recommended. I would not hesitate to purchase from Orion Motor Tech again.

**Draft Review:** I've been using the Orion Motor Tech 3-Gallon Vacuum Chamber with the included 3.5 cfm pump for a few weeks now, and I'm impressed with how reliable it is—even in the dusty chaos of my woodshop. Most of the time, it seals right up and pulls a vacuum without a hitch. On those rare occasions where it doesn't, a quick wipe of the lid's edge with a damp cloth puts it back in business. The instructions claim all bubbles should be gone in about ten minutes, but I’m still seeing a few stubborn stragglers in my epoxy resin. Oddly enough, once I kill the vacuum and open the air valve, the last few bubbles vanish. I’m new to epoxy work, though, so I’m holding off on any deductions—it might be more about my technique than the tool’s performance. A few extra points that might be worth mentioning if you’re on the fence: The pump is relatively quiet for its size (just don't expect whisper-level hush), the gauge is easy to read, and the chamber’s acrylic lid is thick and clear, giving you a good view of what’s happening inside. The construction feels solid and is holding up well, even with constant exposure to dust and frequent cleaning. Setting up was straightforward, and the included instructions are decent—something that’s often overlooked in equipment like this. All in all, for a vacuum-chamber rookie like me, this kit does what it promises and seems built to last. If you're considering it for resin casting, degassing silicone, or other similar projects, it's a solid investment.

Pésimo producto 1- la tapa con respecto a la vasija de metal está ligeramente chueca y hace que no tenga vacío. 2- el motor lo use solo 3 min y empezó a sacar humo y solo lo use 1 vez!!!!!

My daughter works with resin and this works perfect for her smaller articles.

The item worked perfectly, was easy to set up and use. The only issue was it wasn’t a pressure pot, which is what I was looking for. I didn’t find out until I had set it up and YouTubed how to work did I realize the mistake. I didn’t know the difference and this is what Amazon recommended when I searched for a pressure pot for resin. While this is good for resin, and helps clarity and remove bubbles. I don’t make large scale pieces and don’t need a vacuum chamber of this size for what I do. So I sent it back. Still a fantastic product, easy to use, great quality with a heavy lid. It’s as loud as you would expect a compressor of any type to be. So if you’re in the market for a vacuum chamber this is a great deal!
