Manfrotto Lightweight Fluid Tripod Video Head with Flat Base (Mvh500Ah) - Black

Well what can I say, I now completely get it why Manfrotto has such a reputation amongst Tripod gear.This is the second tripod gear I am buying and I must say, I wish I had invested on a manfrotto earlier.I have purchased a Manfrotto MVH500AH fluidhead along with a Manfrotto MT190XPRO4 tripod legs. And this combination is a beast of a setup.Everything feels so premium and works so well. The fluid head system is so smooth while panning and I am completely blown away with the quality I felt while using this product.I highly recommend you all to somehow invest into MANFROTTO if you are planning to buy a tripod. Yes they are a bit expensive for an average Indian, but trust me, this is worth the investment. I am pretty sure that I will never have to buy another tripod anytime soon.Just go for it.

About the product -this is my first video tripod, bought it to use on my benro tripod legs..and it worked fine, absolutely good for video panning, tilt, esp at this price range...had done several videos and I've no problem with it, except that I need little more practice to have more smooth pan to tilt to pan shots.I'm attaching a sample video for your reference, note I"d almost have more than a decade experience in photography + video but this video head can be helpful even if you are a novice photo/video person..however, I'd faced an unexpected problem!..in fact it is the only problem I had with this FH, solved later but I think I should share it so it can be helpful...to get into details, the Video head stuck with tripod and was not coming out of it, despite hours of attempts...I'd to go through several forums, few videos(not many found on youtube)!...still couldn't fix..the VH keeps moving but not able to unscrew from tripod legs!...this is what I did to unscrew, but in-vain(of course, these are also the basic ways you need to follow to remove a fluid-head from tripod) :1) open in anti-clockwise direction2) tried different angles - rightangle, reverse etc..3) Tightened the panning knob, put all my strength to open it, still no use..4) removed the three screw nuts that are at the bottom of the head(3 screws are parts of tripod 4th/center column), the manfrotto video head keeps rotating on the tripod but not able to unscrew!!..This was how it finally worked:1) kept back the 3 screws the Tripod center column comes with & completely tighten the three set screws from the bottom of the mounting plate.2) used pliers to completely tighten the panning knob, rather with hand.3) Turned the manfrotto video-head by placing it inside the tripod, with some extra force in anti-clockwise direction.4) It finally worked, and the fluid head came out from the tripod legs.tips -1) follow tripod legs and manfrotto video head instructions before connecting or removing. I didn't remove the tripod screws rather directly inserted the fluid head, please don't do this way!2) wrap the panning wheel/knob with some cloth while trying to use pliers.3) don't completely turn/tighten fluid head assuming to perfectly fit inside with the tripod legs, rather rotate it until the head rests up against the tripod then tighten with the screws the tripod plate comes with, ie from the bottom.About Amazon & the Seller:I'd to place replacement order on the first Order, as the first Fluid head had Manfrotto logo missing + the video head's fluid is leaking out from the right side wall, which I felt bit disappointing, but Amazon customer support was so helpful that they immediately took my note and with no further questions initiated the replacement process.. The second one was in good condition, totally new, nothing missing, though it delayed a bit, I was happy with the follow-up service esp with the website track order feature..

Bought the fluid head since I ready many good reviews on the various websites.Excellent product for indoor / out door video shooting.Full metal with excellent finish which justifies the high price of the head.Too heavy (almost 1 kg) for fitting atop a portable tripod.Very smooth panning and tilting.Tilt control knob: Can fully lock the tilt with the screw knob provided.Pan control knob: Cannot fully lock the panning with the screw knob provided.Pan control knob could not fully lock the panning and allowed the base to turn with some extra force. Because of this defect the head could not be secured tightly to the tripod's 3/8" screw.I spoke to a Manfroto service technician who also admitted that the pan control knob indeed was not working as it should and therefore had to return the defective product.

This is a very stable and fluid video head.Pros1. Built from machined Aluminium and steel. Very solidly made.2. The tilt and pan action are butter smooth.3. Auto spring for tilt. You need to centre your camera and you can tilt your camera and the head will automatically spring it back smoothly. It's called counter balancing.4. Quick release is very strong and secure.5. The pan handle is very long and you can control the speed of pan very smoothly without any jarring jerks.Cons1. Very heavy (about a kilo) and bulky. With this head attached to MT055XPRO3 055 tripod this is not a travel tripod.I've been using it for about 3 weeks.Highly recommended for heavy DSLRs (I use it with Nikon D7000).

The media could not be loaded. Manfrotto never disappoints when it comes to providing their customers with the best head in the market. This particular head is perfect as the up and down motion is very fluid and has the perfect amount of drag for almost any size of equipment. However, the drag is not adjustable, it's either smooth motion or no motion and i think we all can agree that a head is no good without some motion. However, if you are expecting fast up and down and side to side (tilt and pan) motion, you might be disappointed. But i would recommend that you pay a little more and get the Italian head instead of any other cheapo head as their motion never match the smooth and pleasing motion of an Italian head.P.S. you can remove the counterbalance spring if you have a light camera like a mirrorless or DSLR. It'll make the head drupe when tilted but it's much less annoying and much more useful than a spring pushing back.

This product is good only for wedding photographer and videographer...Not for highly professional use like film cinematography

MVH500AH I received this today and the over all build of the product is quite good. The balancing is very nice. Simple to put together. The tilt is very smooth but the pan seems to be a bit tight. Maybe I have to get used to it yet, so will update it after a few videos.One star less because the quick release screws were in a plastic bag with the manual and unsealed. It was missing the rubber plug cap on the quick release.

Just does the job.Sturdy, smooth and nicely finished.Works best with a levelling base.

Utilisé pour des photos d’oiseaux et de sport, très stable et fluide.Le niveau à bulle n’est pas très visible, mais très important pour être bien à l’horizontale

Hobi sabihi olmak veya sanatla uğraşmak ve bunun için gerekli malzemeleri almak bu kadar zorlaşmamalı.Neyse, ürüne gelirsek harika diyebilirim, kusursuz bir ürün ve çok sağlam, fakat fiyatı şu an için pahalı.

動画用には専用の三脚雲台を持っているが、静止画用の三脚（K&F）でも、気軽に動画と望遠が使えるように購入。操作性も良いし、安定して使えている。さすがマンフロット！といえる商品です。
