This book is basically like an individuals journal more than a coffee table book with pretty pictures and ofcourse it is basically a point of view of a single person on the luxury watch industry and what might be collectible. It makes a good read inspite of the in numerous grammatical errors and editing mistakes. I would give it 5 stars if the price was half of what I paid. But I highly recommend you read this point of view before you decide to buy a expensive Swiss watch

Good reference for those considering a luxury watch
Good overview of luxury watch manufacturers and significance of each. Reviews some leading models. Covers reasons to invest in a luxury watch. Some grammatical errors and appears to be a translation to English, but easily readable.

Book sounds like an article
The intention was to educate the reader about watche's brands. However, the writer couldn't hide his love for Rolex watches, what made him ignore to discour in details, e.g, about breitling, tag heur, and others. Nevertheless, the book lacks to explain about the movements, the pices, witch brand is more accurate, and how engineering could help the manufacturing of watches.

Helpful for the tyro
This book is an interesting charge round the territory, so useful to the novice and it gives good advice re purchasing watches which will maintain their value. Some say just buy the watch you like. I found quite a few typos, which made some sentences difficult to follow. A good effort.
