Not as satisfying as I thought it would be
This Gear Sphere Gear Cube 3D Printed Gear Ball Spin Cube is both good and bad.First, the good. It's beautiful! The colors shimmer and it's awesome to look at and to hold. The bad. It's awkward to turn and make it work. You can't grab two opposite ends in a natural way, like you were going to spin it on it's axis to spin it. You have to grab two of the like sized corners, but they're not on opposite corners. If you look at a picture of the cube, you can see that there's two like sized corners on the top of the cube. So if you use those two to turn it while simultaneously trying to hold on and support it. It can be done, and I frequently dropped it because you're then holding the cube up by pressure on the sides instead of by supporting it. No matter how I tried or which like sized corners I used, it was always like this. If you grab the two opposite corners, like you were going to spin it on it's axis, you end up with a large corner and a small corner, and you can't spin/turn it. It doesn't work using a larger corner and a small corner. Maybe I'm over-elaborating/explaining, but trying to fidget with it left me more stressed than when I started.I did give it 3 stars, because it did work, just not well.Would I order this again? For a show piece and not a fidget device, possibly, because it is nice to look at. But would I buy it to use as a fidget device? Not a chance. Same answer and reasoning for recommending it to others.
