Fleece Scour for Wool and Natural Fibres Australian Alpaca Society Approved

Thank you!To anyone considering buying this, it's brilliant stuff; fragrant, effective and natural.I cold scour my fleeces. I soak them first in water to loosen the dirt, then drain them well using their own weight to help press out the water. Then I put them into the scour solution and leave them there for several days. I give them lots of (gentle) presses with my hands every time I go into the garden, picking out the bits of hay, leaves, sticks, poo pellets etc as I go. Then I drain the fleeces again and soak them in clean water (pressing them regularly again) over a day or two. A spin cycle in a mesh bag in the washing machine, and they're ready to be laid out in the sun to dry. A clothes horse with some garden mesh strung over it works really well for this. After this process the fleeces are snowy, fragrant and gorgeously soft. Happy summer days washing fleeces, happy winter's nights by the fire, carding... bliss.

I bought this to wash some sheep fleeces I have, it was brilliant at getting a lot of the dirt out although I think I could have possibly done with reducing the amount of fibre in the bag as there was still a bit of dirt in it. That said the fibre was particularly dirty and the scour did get a lot of muck and dust out. This is my 3rd bottle of scour and I think it's great to clean wool fibres. I will buy more of this as needed.

I used it for the final rinse of a fleece I was wet felting and it has been great. The product is very effective and leaves behind a lovely, clean fresh smell. I am considering putting a bit in my washing after reading it kills dust mites!

Aussie Know How wool scour is fantastic,I have hand washed 5 large sheep fleeces, using 3 bottles of wool scour. The results have been good, apart from one piece that was particularly dirty and smelly which i washed again with good results.The texture of the wool after washing was soft and the smell was pleasant. I will be ordering another bottle soon.A good buy.Barbara

I’ve been scouring whole raw sheep fleece and alpaca by hand ready for spinning, and this fibre scour liquid works perfectly. I also soak my spun yarn before weaving, and then use in the final soak for finished woven work. Great value product, a little goes a long way, great scent, and fast delivery.

This was wonderful for scouring sheep fleece & alpaca fleece. Both came clean on the first wash & rinsed we’ll retaining some of the smell of the natural botanical oils contained within the product. I would highly recommend this product & will certainly use it myself in the future whenever I have fleece to scour

Really happy with this product. I've always been a bit sceptical about these scouring products , having previously used a regular detergent with ok results...HOWEVER I am so impressed by how clean this made my fleece, after just one soak. I definitely won't be using my old scouring methods. Super easy to use, dissolved the grease and smells good too. Great service and received it before expected delivery date. Thank you!
