Perfect for outdoors and festivals
The "dark room" technology is great for camping where you will be exposed to direct sunlight, such as at a music festival. It fits within a 10' wide space and underneath a 10x10 canopy (if there's no frame in the center). Avoid sidewalls to maintain good air flow - this blocks the sun well enough without additional sidewalls on a tent or around it.There are large vents on the main structure which are covered by the "rainfly." When you use the tethers to properly lift the sides, you get a slight separation between the two pieces which allows for great airflow and shade. The front and side vents are closable with zipper flaps. Set it up so one side faces East and keep that flap mostly closed to block the sunrise. The back has the largest vent - keep that side unobstructed. The porch is perfect for setting up a blowup couch or chairs. You can leave shoes & sandals there so as not to bring dirt into the sleeping area.Super easy to setup with 1 or 2 people. Breaks down into an easy to carry bag - great for storage.Even though it's a 6-person tent, it's great for 2 people on a queen blowup mattress plus luggage, clothes, even a cooler. Tall enough to get dressed in for most people.Durable and flexible enough to survive strong wind gusts (desert nights). Just stake it down on all sides. There's a plastic ring on the center of the ceiling - hang a lantern from it with a carabiner for late night hangs.6/5 stars.

Easy to set up, great starter tent!
The media could not be loaded. I’d give this tent a 4.5 stars. This tent was very easy to set up, less than 10 minutes mostly by myself. We set it up in the backyard before taking it camping to make sure there were no tears and to get a general idea of the size.Overall, it is a very good starter tent especially for the price. I hope it will hold up well over our next several trips.Pros:-Easy to set up-Screened patio is great for gear storage-Can fit two double air mattresses or one queen with some wiggle room-Looks great, good overall quality-Held up well in a southern rainstormSome things to know:-Backside of the tent is just a bug screen. If you want any privacy, you have to set up the rainfly which completely covers the back and limits airflow-Limited number of pockets/hooks for gear inside the tent (only two small wall pockets)-Front screened patio has no rain protection-The tent seemed very taut on the poles, I am slightly worried about tearing in the future.Despite these few negative features, I’d say this is one of the best tents at this price range on the market.

Overall, great product!
Overall I gave this product 4 stars, simply because there are a couple of design flaws that are workable but were slight oversights by the design department. First, the main door into the tent has a very high step to get over, and you have to stoop to clear the top at the same time. My almost 2 year old can barely get her leg over it without tripping, and I tripped a couple of times. Second, the overhang for the vestibule could have been designed better. The top sits back at an angle, so rain goes straight in (not to mention the sides of the top are mesh, not just the front). We let it sit on our back porch in the rain over the weekend to test the waterproofness and it did very well except that the floor in the vestibule puddled up (which I was expecting). They should have made the rainfly at least come up over the top of the vestibule. That being said, it's easy enough to attach a tarp or plastic sheeting to the top to create a makeshift cover. It was also almost impossible for me to set up myself (and I'm well-practiced at setting up tents alone). Because you feed the poles through cloth tubes rather than external clips the poles get stuck easily. The last problem is that the zipper for the vestibule doesn't have a hand-hold loop at the bottom so you have to either step on or hold down the door to open it, but that's a minor annoyance.Pros:I wanted something that would keep the long summer days from keeping our daughter up too late, and to keep the morning light from waking us too early - at least until she's a little older. The product was a significant change from my 2-person tent, which was hardly long enough for my husband to stretch out in (he's 6' 1"). This tent is VERY roomy on the inside, and I can stand almost all the way up in it (I'm 5' 4"). We used two tri-fold hide-a-mats that are 30"x84" and could have fit one more if we didn't care about having space for our packs inside. As far as the darkroom technology, I think it does great! Compared to my other tent, I didn't even notice the morning light until about 9am when we camped in our backyard. Normally the sun will wake us by around 7am. However, you HAVE to have the rainfly on in order to get the full effect because the roof is mostly mesh, and light will still get in around the sides. It's not pitch-black in there, but you will want some kind of lightsource because it does stay very dark. The awnings on the rainfly were a nice design touch and we were able to hang paper lanterns under there for ambiance. It also did do a pretty great job of keeping the temperature low. I didn't measure the temperature but it felt a few degrees cooler in the tent than outside during the day.Overall, I think this tent is fantastic and worth the price! Pretty easy to set up if you have two people (or a lot of patience), and only a couple of small complaints that are easy to work around.

Easy Set-up & Comfortable
Easy to set-up with two people (even in the dark).Stayed comfortable, dark and warm inside the tent in 30-40 degree weather with the rain fly on. Note that we also used a reflective mat under the tent for extra warmth.Comfortably fit two single cots. However, there was very little room leftover and would not be able to accommodate a third cot or sleeping bag. We also kept our bags in the screened in porch to maximize walking space inside the tent. One con: You cannot store things in the screened in porch if the forecast calls for rain as the screened in porch is not covered by the rain fly.Very easy to take down and store in the carrying case, no tears in the screen or flooring.Overall, we’re happy with the tent and are excited to try in next in the summer.
