2024 another new AM4 cpu. We need more AM4 CPU in the future
16 core / 32 threads CPU , Great option if you still in AM4 Platform. I Replace the 5700x3d with this one. I need more cores. Hopefully AMD release 5900X3D and 5950x3d for the future. Price is great of this CPU and I get high fps during gaming as well. I use Cpu air cooler Zalman it cool it so well. The temperature is low. Good cpu. Thanks AMD

Great power for the AM4 socket
This processor brought life back into my system. It gave it that extra boost needed to keep up with today's apps and games. It's probably the most power AM4 processor available. It plays all of my games with great performance. It has no problems staying cool during even the most daunting tasks, and I don't even have liquid cooling. It was a great price and the stability is typical AMD.

Benchmarks and Price confirm 5900xt greater than 5700x3d and 5800x3d... The ads lie...
Why did you pick this product vs others?:User benchmarks confirm the 5900xt is the best bang for your buck... On paper, the 5900xt outperforms in gaming and is cheaper than the 5700x3d. On a side note the 5800x3d outperforms the 5900xt in gaming but only by 4% on paper... The 5800x3d also ranges in price from $500 to $1000... These benchmarks are points not measurable by the naked eye, literally require benchmark software to see the difference. Ensuring you are pairing the right hardware and using the right settings will make all the difference... If all you are doing is mixing up hardware without a clue to what works best with what, your experience will be terrible, no matter how much money you throw at your CPU...Temperature:The temps are as expected for the power draw. Idles as low as 40c with highs peaking at 80c on a 360 aio with stock fans.Functionality:Ideal for a workstation and can handle AAA game titles with ease, especially since current games don't require anything close to a processor like this and likely won't for a while...Power:Does consume a fair bit of power... But I'd be more concerned with your GPU if you are power conscious...

Budget drop in upgrade
Got this one prime day to upgrade my 3900x system hoping to get a few more years out of it. It's a nice upgrade! The chip was running a bit hot, so I ended up undervolting it and now it runs cooler (60-70C) and even turbos over 5Ghz.I think if you have an old AM4 (2nd-3rd gen) system laying around, and this on sale for around $200, it's very compelling. With minimal tinkering my chip is out performing the 5950x. It's noticeably faster than 3rd gen.I wouldn't recommend building a new system, just upgrading an older one.

Nice budget option for 16-core CPU
Excellent for running multiple VMs. Even though it's rated for 105W it runs hot so need to make sure you have a decent cooling solution in place

ALL THE CORES, just not particularly fast cores. Great sawn song for end of life AM4 platforms
This is probably the most cores per dollar you can buy right now and is a great end stage upgrade for the AM4 platform, especially for the price.Granted these are only Zen3 cores, so they are not super fast compared to a modern Zen5 based Ryzen, but you're getting 32 threads out of 105W. Mine idles around 50 degrees with a tower cooler with silent fans and tops out at about 90C under load. If you're willing to put up with more noise, you can easily get this down into the 80s under load.If you're a gamer, you should be looking at the 5700X3D, but if you use anything that can benefit from 16 cores, this chip is a very functional number cruncher on a budget.Just be aware that there is a USB stability issue with B550 boards and the Ryzen 5000 series that can cause onboard USB ports to randomly disconnect. There's various solutions floating around on the internet, but just be forewarned that you could be adding an aftermarket USB PCIe card to the cost of the 5900XT if you're intending on using this as your final AM4 platform upgrade.

Fast CPU, does run hot
Fast CPU, does run very hot. Apps all load pretty much instantly now, thanks to it's 73 megs of cache. Very smooth CPU.Update** Undervolted all cores with a slight .06 offset and system is very stable running significantly cooler.
