WEN23103 1-Amp Variable Speed Rotary Tool with 100+ Accessories, Carrying Case and Flex Shaft

I do a lot of fine woodworking and have several rotary tools. This is my first with a flex shaft. Game changer! This is obviously a cheap one but seems to work great. Just make sure you follow the instructions exactly when installing it and it will work as it should. A lot of these reviews complaining about it probably never bother to read how exactly to attach it properly. I have mine rigged up above my workbench hanging with a sanding wheel on it. It's extremally useful and makes fine sanding super easy companied to having to wield the entire tool. The included accessories are all decent enough and getting a hard case for this price is pretty surprising. The main tool is surprisingly quiet and it holds it's speed well. I have a couple others where the vibration of the motor moves the speed adjustment wheel. No issues with this one. I also have a WEN cordless rotary tool that is super underpowered and I never use it. Do not recommend those at all. Just get one with a flex shaft if you need a more surgical rotary tool.

This Dremel is great for small tasks around the house. The extra-long neck that came with it was incredibly helpful—much better than the one I had from Harbor Freight, as I didn't have to hold the main body like before. I felt less vibration when using the extension, which allowed me to work longer without my hand getting tired. It came with plenty of bits that suited my needs, though I did purchase additional ones for a different project. Overall, the speed and motor performance are excellent—never bogged down once. I would highly recommend this if you're looking for an affordable alternative to more expensive brands.

This is not the same quality as a Dremel but it is still a very nice rotary tool and a fraction of the cost. The kit comes with a nice plastic case, a flex shaft, and a few basic assessories. I have a Dremel but wanted a flex shaft for more intricate work.For less than the cost of a Dremel flex shaft, I bought this kit AND quite a few additional accessories.I wasn't sure how this would stack up in terms of quality and performance but it is a nice, well-made tool. I have only used it a few times so I can't speak on longevity but for the price, it is impressive. Most Dremel accessories will fit this as well. I recommend a rotary tool for any homeowner or hobbyist - I can't tell you how many times it has proven useful and this kit is a nice one.

This rotary tool is pretty nice. I've used it a few times now to clean up some of my 3D printed parts and it works well enough (I always print in ABS). It has plenty of power for the stuff I do and being able to adjust the speed is helpful depending on what you're working with. The flex shaft is cool too, makes it easier to get into those tight spots when I need to smooth out some rough edges or something like that.I'm not sure if this thing would hold up for super heavy-duty tasks but for my purposes it's perfect. Plus, the carrying case and all the extra bits are really convenient. It comes with pretty much everything you'd ever need. I mean, who needs a fancy Dremel when you can get something like this that works just as well and doesn't cost nearly as much? Oh, I almost forgot to mention, it came in handy for cleaning up some old tools too - rust is no match for this thing (I also use WD-40 on my tools though, just in case).

This thing gets the job done quickly and easily, and after a recent purchase of the more well-known competitor in the rotary tools market, I MUCH prefer the Wen. Overall product quality and finish is significantly better, the Wen is less noisy, better balanced, and FAR cheaper. It also comes with the flex shaft instead of offering it as an accessory to hit you for another $35. The flex shaft is a little shorter but still offers plenty of flexibility.The one issue with this is that the screw mandrel that is supposed to screw into the buffer pads was not threaded, so it doesn't fit the pads and there's no way to get it into the little hole even using a good bit of force. I'll be emailing customer service and requesting they send a new one, and unless they leave me hanging, by the time this review is posted I'm reasonably sure I'll have one on the way. If customer service doesn't respond, I'll come back and update this review, so if it's not updated at the bottom, you can assume it was an easy fix and was taken care of without much fuss.I love this thing. I use it mostly for cutting and finishing plastics for my hydroponics setups and it does everything I've needed so far. It's well-built, nicely finished with care and quality, very powerful and runs constantly at mid-range speeds 10-15 minutes without heating up.The case is well-designed and fits everything perfectly. The power cord and flex shaft stow neatly and lock into place, as does the tool itself and the small box of accessories.I did purchase the 280-piece accessory bundle, which also comes in a nicely-designed, well-fit organizer case. I recommend it as an additional purchase if you use your rotary tools a lot. Even after adding in the accessory bundle, my total cost is well under 1/3 of what the more known name device cost me, even before accounting for the trouble and expense of having to return the more expensive one before I came across this one. Happy I took a chance, and I'll be looking at Wen for more toys and tools in the future!

It's not very heavy but doesn't feel cheap at the same time. I got it for a project I am working on and found the variable speed to be a nice addition. I want to try the flexible end as I think that will give added control. It's nice to have everything in a case. Things stay together and safe. Storage is simple and keeps things together so you can grab and go. It's a good little kit for the price.

Great product , just as good as the original demel tool kit price just right needed it an auto job to cut a rusted old bolt off , work perfectly just what I needed !!!
