Baby’s First Gym Sesh... Just Miniature
Okay, so I bought this adorable mini gym rattle set for a friend’s son’s first birthday, thinking, “Wow! This kid is going to be the buffest baby on the block.” I imagined him curling his little barbell and sipping imaginary protein shakes. But when it arrived, I opened the box and thought, “Wait... is this for a baby or a hamster?”Don’t get me wrong—it’s super cute and the quality is great. The design is hilarious and creative (a kettlebell rattle?? Genius). But it’s much smaller than expected, and that’s totally on me for not checking the product dimensions. I was picturing something a little chunkier, like a baby version of an actual gym set, not something that could double as a keychain in a pinch. In hindsight, I would’ve definitely saved this for a newborn gift instead of a first birthday. At one year old, the kid looked at it like, “Ma’am… where’s the rest of it?”That said, it’s still a fun and quirky gift, especially for fitness-loving parents who want to start training their little one in the fine art of baby bicep curls (or at least rattling things aggressively). It’s safe, colorful, and makes great teething toys—even if it won’t inspire any toddler PRs.Pro tip: If you're shopping for a "first set of gains," this is a cute pick. Just keep expectations in check—this isn’t Gold’s Gym, it’s Baby’s First Gym...in travel size.
