100 Runs of a Lifetime: The World's Ultimate Races and Trails (100 of a Lifetime) : Yasso, Bart: desertcart.co.uk: Books Review: "100 Runs of a Lifetime" belongs in every runners home library. - An extraordinary book highlighting exceptional runs around the world. Recommended for all runners, walkers and hikers. Review: Not enough emphasis on 'world' races - too many US ones - A little disappointed in this book to be honest. Purchased as a gift but had a flick through first. For a book titled 'the world's ultimate races and trails', I was surprised to find that over half of the races are in the USA. Many of rest of the races are major city marathons. The first section, 'short races', of the 15 races described, 14 were in the US, the other in Canada. The only UK race was the London Marathon. The pictures are nice as you would expect from National Geographic. I also have the Lonely Planet Epic races book. I wish I had bought that as the gift instead. I feel like this book is definitely geared to people living in the USA.

Lovely book. One star because it arrived with damaged spine and didn’t realise in time for return window, as was put away for a gift.

This is a fun book to look through at all the amazing races / runs across the world! It's fun to see how many I have already completed, & it has given me plenty of ideas for more runs in the future. I have this on my coffee table in my living room, & everybody loves opening it up and learning about great runs around the world!

I got this for my brother for Christmas and it's been fun to watch my marathon and Iron-man running brother explore options for running around the world with it.

This book covers a lot of ground! It’s got great ideas for all runners from beginners to experts, road to trail, and casual to competitive. As the author of Ultrarunning Europe I’m biased, since a photo of mine is used. But, this is a great reference for runners of all abilities.
