Works great
Installed on one of my water troughs for the cows. Replaced the old toiled float that had been in service for years. Constant maintenance on the old system. This device had been working perfectly and even tho the cows like to lick it, it works flawlessly.

I've been using the floats in my cattle troughs for about two months and so far all is good.

Work great
These work great! Modified them to work even better, 1-1/2 inch pipe straps work great for mounting and groove prevents them from moving

Does not seal well
I attached two of these to different watering containers. I used the plumbers tape to help seal the connections. They still leaked.

Easy installation, works great, economical.
Works great, easy installation, made well. I have used Little Giant trough floats for years for the same reasons. Easy installation, reasonable price. They always worked till recently. But out of the last dozen Little giants I bought, 2 went in and worked, and they did not last very long before they started to overflow the troughs without shutting off. I put these new floats in several months ago and they all still work perfectly.

Works like a dream! Great value and design. Very easy to install. No leaks when the valve is tight at the top.

DONT USE PROVIDED ELBOW FITTING
I purchased 4 of these for my hydroponics set up. They all failed. They did not shut the water flow off and my reservoirs overflowed. It took a while, but I learned that the problem was not the float itself but steel elbow fitting supplied with the unit. The fitting’s threads were poorly done. The threads were too small, very rough and extremely sharp. The sharpness cut thru not only the cheesy, thin Teflon tape provided… but also the much thicker tape I had on hand. The whole thing leaked horribly! After replacing the elbow fitting, the float valve functioned properly. DONT USE THE PROVIDED ELBOW FITTING!!
