The most important aspect while getting a health monitor equipment is its accuracy and Omron does that perfectly. This is my second date with Omron, the first being a Blood Pressure Monitor. Omron Digital Thermometer gives an exact measurement each time, however, it is my personal habit to take 3 continuous measurements and take an average of the same. There will be minor differences in each reading as because our body temperatures are continuously changing, which is quite normal. The second most important feature of the thermometer is its property of being water resistant. It is a boon that we get to clean it any number of times I want. The conversion from Celcius to Fahrenheit has either some flaws or I am not able to use it properly. However, it hardly matters as because we generally take the measurement in degree Celcius and even if we require in Fahrenheit, it can be easily converted with the types of app our smartphones own. It got a feature of recalling the last reading which is a cherry on the cake. It auto shuts down itself in less than a minute, if remains untouched. The thermometer gives out a beep while it is switched on and makes 2-3 continuous beeps after the measurement is completed. It comes packaged with a protective case as well as a cover, also is bundled with an instruction sheet. There are numerous offer which goes on and you can get this as low as ₹120.

The product description of the item received is 'Omron Basic Temp Eco' ... NOT 'Omron MC-246 (MC246) 60 Second Digital Rigid Thermometer' as advertised. I queried this with the seller, they responded quickly and informed me that it is the same model number, and that Amazon are responsible for the images ??? What they did not explain is why they are selling this 'Basic' item at over DOUBLE the price of some other sellers on Amazon today. I won't be bothered returning it for a refund for this price range - but you should judge for yourselves whether you think this is good trading practice.

Does what it supposed so well pleased

Great thermometer. Works well, good instructions, nice protective case to carry it about. Cheaper than the daffodil one which is rubbish.
