Seller updated the description to specifically mention (or make it more obvious) that these adapters are not suitable for live video feeds: so no thermal cameras as per my intended use. The one improvement I would make would be to etch a lightning bolt on the female end to make it easier to identify what type of cable it accepts: I can see having this in a drawer/bag without a cable attached and not remembering its purpose without some trial and error.Original review:Bought this to try adapting my FLIROne Pro thermal camera with lightning connector to use on a newer iPhone with USB-C port. Thought it might work as some other options that support video, audio, charging, and data transfer have had reviews saying they worked for that purpose, but that’s not the case with this one, unfortunately.The aluminum body looks nice and appears it will be pretty durable, and it’s a good value for changing over some old lightning cables to USB-C instead of replacing them or throwing them out. They’re compact at about 1.25” overall so they’re great for travel, keeping in a laptop bag, or adapting an extra cable to keep in your vehicle for charging or wired CarPlay. They won’t charge as fast a true USB-C cable obviously, but for two bucks you’d be hard pressed to beat their utility.If you just want a basic adapter for charging or transferring photos to your computer, etc. these will fit the bill. If you need something that lets you use a specific device like a thermal camera, you’ll have to look elsewhere and pay a little more.

This adapter is listed as OTG compatible but will NOT WORK in situations that the iPhone adapter will. I hoped that this adapter would work and the FLIR ONE camera would not be dangling from even a short cord.

Do not buy these they do not work. I used them with several lightning cables and they don't work.
