Das Ziel ist es hierbei, den Täter/Mörder ausfindig zu machen, welcher in der Tatnacht den Mord begangen hat. Wie auch in Cluedo müssen hier Täter, Ort und Mordwerkzeug bestimmt werden. Jedoch enden hier auch bereits die Gemeinsamkeiten zu dem Klassiker Cluedo. Die Besonderheiten die Mysterium hierbei bietet, ist zunächst das das Spiel kooperativ gespielt wird. Dies bedeutet, dass man das Spiel als Gruppe gemeinsam gewinnt oder eben auch gemeinsam verliert. Dies sorgt für eine angenehme Gruppendynamik, da man sich natürlich auch gegenseitig unterstützen möchte und man auch frei untereinander kommunizieren kann (zumindest dürfen dies alle Spieler, bis auf den Spieler, welcher den Geist spielt) Die Spieler übernehmen dabei unterschiedliche Rollen. Ein Spieler schlüpft in die Rolle des "Geistes" und darf lediglich mit Traumkarten den anderen Spielern Hinweise erteilen (bedeutet also, das er nicht sprechen darf). Die anderen Spieler schlüpfen in die Rolle von Wahrsagern, welche jeweils ihre eigene Kombination aus Täter, Ort und Mordwerkzeug erraten müssen. Diese drei Bausteine müssen Etappenweise (1 Etappe: Person, 2 Etappe: Ort, 3 Etappe: Mordwerkzeug) jeweils mit den Traumkarten hergeleitet werden. Diese Traumkarten sind unheimlich schön und facettenreich gestaltet - die Erschwernis liegt aber auch zugleich bei den Traumkarten - diese können nämlich auch durchaus auf mehrere Ziele hindeuten. Daher darf der Geist natürlich auch mehrere Karten an einen Spieler aushändigen um das Ziel feiner zu definieren (dies macht es aber auch nicht unbedingt immer einfacher, sondern kann ggf. auch bei dem Spieler/Wahrsager für mehr Interpretaionsspielraum sorgen) Das spannende an dieser Mechanik ist dann, was der Geist dem Wahrsager mit seinen Karten nun aufzeigen wollte. Manchmal erscheint die Lösung aus Sicht des Geistes unheimlich naheliegend und einfach, während der Wahrsager aber dem Hinweis auf einer völlig falschen Fährte nachjagt (dies sorgt natürlich auch für einen regen Austausch der Wahrsager untereinander am Spieltisch, da natürlich auch alle gemeinsam das Spiel gewinnen wollen). Haben es alle Spiele geschafft Ihre jeweilige Kombination mit den Hinweisen des Geistes zu erraten, bevor die Zeit abgelaufen ist (es wird maximal über 7 Runden gespielt - heißt also das man max. 4x falsch liegen darf) dann tritt das Spiel in die zweite Phase ein. Hier wählt der Geist die "Finale Kombination" aus den bestehenden Kombinationen aus und alle Spieler müssen erneut erraten, welche Kombination nun die Finale ist. Auch hierzu werden entsprechende Traumkarten aufgedeckt, welche durch den Geist ausgewählt werden. Der Clou ist wiederum hier: In der ersten Phase konnten die Spieler jeweils Tipps abgeben, ob Ihre Mitstreiter mit Ihrer Vermutung richtig oder falsch lagen - war der Tipp richtig, so erspielt man sich für die letzte Runde einen Vorteil und hat damit die Chance mehr Traumkarten einsehen zu können, was ggf. eine Lösung des finalen Rätsels vereinfacht. Da in der letzten Phase die Spieler jeweils verdeckt abgeben müssen, wer nun von allen Kombinationen die Richtige ist, kommt zum Schluss nochmal eine besondere Spannung auf. Denn mind. die Hälfte der Spieler muss richtig getippt haben. Ist dies nicht der Fall haben die Spieler und der Geist das Spiel verloren. Lag mehr als die Hälfte der Spieler richtig, so haben die Spieler gewonnen. Mysterium kommt mit sehr vielen tollen Mechaniken her - ist wunderbar illustriert und lässt sich zudem noch kooperativ spielen. Dabei besteht keine Willkür, da es keine Würfel gibt. Die Anleitung ist gut und verständlich geschrieben und ebenfalls wunderbar illustirert (dies kennt man jedoch auch vom Hersteller Libellud nicht anders). Das tolle an Mysterium ist zudem, dass es einen hohen Widerspielwert hat und auch in älteren Jahrgängen noch gut ankommt. Ferner möchte natürlich auch jeder gerne mal den Geist gespielt haben, welcher die wertvollen Hinweise verteilt. Da jeder den Geist auch anders spielt und eine andere Herangehensweise hat, kommt so auch oftmals eine jeweils ganz andere Gruppendynamik auf. Ein klasse Spiel, was absolut empfehlenswert ist, da es in meinen Augen in keiner Spielesammlung fehlen darf. Ich hoffe die Rezension war hilfreich!
