Probably my favorite UCS set I've ever built! I have always loved the TIE Interceptor, and seeing this go together, and the details inside the cockpit interior was amazing! It's size is on par with the UCS X-Wing, and came with all the pieces as you would expect from Lego. For the price it's a great UCS set as long as it's still active, once it goes to retired status the price will increase. This is NOT for young kids though, as it's designed for experienced Lego builders and those who have experience with prior UCS or Lego adult sets. The assembly process is lengthy, but that's a good thing as it make for some fun evenings of building!

Very rewarding

I got into Star Wars legos last year, I started with the helmets collection, and now I got into the ships, these one in particular has been one of my favorites. It looks great next to the X wing. I totally recommend it!

I got this as a treat for myself, and I entirely regret it. Every stage after bag 7 starts to fall apart — I’ve bought and assembled a lot of Lego and this just seems half-baked.

The best of the best lego to build...!!

This build was an absolute pleasure until it came time to attach the wings - particularly the dual "shovel" looking pieces that are built to be kind of inside the wing area - I had to disassemble a few times to reattach these pieces until I had to super-glue them in place. Anytime you need to superglue a Lego, that is NOT a good thing. But this "gotcha" kind of soured things toward the middle of the build. However, once these areas were dealt with, the rest of the build went pretty smoothly and I did get that cool feeling when you start seeing the size and heft of the model. I am only being so critical about this because it felt like only THAT particular part of the build was created by a substitute designer. Otherwise this is a solid, detailed, and beautiful build.
