I used it for the first time yesterday. Dug a 3" hole for a post. The soil is heavy clay. It started right away and never stalled. I used the 6" auger and only hit one obstacle (root?), but it got around it easily. It only took a few minutes to complete.I bought it to dig 6- 42" holes for concrete foundation for a new deck. Which I will start in a few days. The first hole was a test to see how the unit worked, and it was great. I will be using the 6" auger first and then the 10 " auger. I think it will do a very good job.

Once received, I put the 10” auger on, put a little gas in it and it fired up and I dug a six holes 30” deeps in just a few minutes. Unlike an older on I used years back this does not start spinning/digging until you give it squeeze the throttle.

Customer service sucks .. never a responce.. had to purchase the bits required. Would not recomend .Auger works ok but puts out much more gas fumes than my old one

UpdateDown to one starHave made three attempts to get the seller to address the failure of this unit but have not received any response.DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS UNITThe throttle lock out mechanism on the 52cc auger failed on the third hole.Have sent two messages to DC House to replace or refund under the 30 day return warranty and hope to get a response soon.Hopefully they will stand behind their promise but until then I cannot recommend this product to anyone.
