This is a great scoop for making uniform big cookies. Or it's the perfect size for sorbet or gelato. The spring action is smooth. The rubber grip is sturdy. Cleans up well in dishwasher.

This is the first cookie scoop I've used that I actually like. It releases the cookie dough cleanly and is comfortable to use. It really cut down on the time it took to form the cookie dough balls compared to doing it by hand. Also the results were consistently sized cookies. This scoop makes large cookies. About 5 inches with my peanut butter cookie recipe.

I love to bake and it's sometimes hard to keep your cookies the same size. This is perfect because it keeps the sizes consistent. I like my cookies to be about the same size as one another so that they bake the same. This is perfect when you are selling cookies or making them for parties. It's light weight and easy to use. Cleaning is very easy also. These make pretty big cookies.

I previously had the exact same scoop and it worked perfectly for 2 years before it broke. This scoop works well but the inner piece of metal that moves back and forth is a little too far out so it makes a slightly odd shape instead of a round like my previous one did. Even so, I would still recommend Prep Solutions by Progressive Measuring Scoop because it saves a ton of time and is super easy to use.I wouldn't recommend using on any dough that is extremely tough or straight out of the fridge after an overnight chill since the scoop can break if put under too much pressure.

Update: It has been 10 months since I bought this bad boy and it's still going strong. Literally dozens of dough types have done battle with this beast and lost. Pudding cookie dough, stuffed cookie dough, chilled cookie dough, chunky cookie dough, you name it, this scoop has given it a what-for! I love mine. It sucks that some people are getting ones that break, but mine is a trooper, and I'm not gentle on kitchen tools. It's still super comfortable to use, easy to eject even the thickest of doughs, and it cleans up easy. I plan on loving this thing to death, be that it's or mine.Original review: Okay, so I had a Wilton scoop of the same size, and that thing lasted me all of maybe 2 weeks. The dough would get stuck in it, it took enormous hand strength to squeeze the dough out, it was a nightmare.Not this one! I don't know about the difference in designs, but his one definitely FEELS way sturdier. It takes less effort to squeeze the dough out, and my hand hurts way less at he end of a large batch of cookies.It cleans up super easy with just hot water and is dishwasher safe. I've had it for over a month now and really love it. It stands up to my thickest and chunkiest cookie doughs and still works and feels like new. The ergonomics of the handle feel good in your grip, and it never gets all jammed up like my other one.10/10 would recommend.

I tried about 4-5 other large cookie scoops before getting this one. Returned all the others because the squeezing mechanism was VERY FLIMSY and I knew it would not stand up to my refrigerated cookie dough or they were just difficult to squeeze. This one is great! Easy to squeeze. Thick handles. and the mechanism seems very sturdy!

I finally had to buy a new cookie scoop. My old one had gotten pitted and my dough always stuck to it ... it was driving me mad. I looked around and saw the reviews for this scoop and I just had to see if it was really that special - and it really is! I have never experienced an easier scoop to use. For cookies - I haven't even tried it on ice cream and actually I never will. I bought this for cookies which I make every weekend (I'm vegan). If you are looking for a good cookie scoop, do yourself a favor - get a great one!

This is one sorry excuse for a cookie scoop. I got the 3 TBS and it leaves most of the cookie dough in the scoop where I had to get it out by my fingers! If the cookie dough is room temperature, the pressing mechanism does not even work! Horrible waste of my money!!

So lately I wanted to buy my first cookie scoop! I didn’t have to compare so much between different brands to figure which would be the perfect one. This cookie scoop from prep solutions is simply wonderful and sturdy. I made a first batch of cookies which I had to refrigerate prior of scooping them. Wow! and since the dough was quite sticky I noticed how easy the scoop was releasing it! I was much impressed by it also because of the beautiful uniformity of the cookies. Anyways, get it you will not be deceived and it cleans very well!

Can’t comment on sturdiness because it hasn’t been used very long. But the product functions as it should. The size is a little bit smaller than the one it was replacing (also a tablespoon size). but since I use it mostly for cookie dough that’s probably a good thing. Edit: I’ve been using it for 2 years now and it still works like new. So I added a star.

Buenísima! Funciona muy bien, no se atora, es de plastico resistente. De muy buen tamaño, no había podido encontrar un scoop tan pequeño, ojalá hicieran uno de 1/2 Tbsp.
