Holds 21 eggs which is a little random, not quite enough to hold my usual 2 dozen pack from Costco, but I assume it has to do with the length in being able to fit inside a standard fridge. The container does reach to the back of my fridge, so 21 is probably the max you can fit with that configuration. If you are a normal person and buy eggs by the dozen at the grocery store this will be fine.
