This umbrella is SOLID. Nice and large but still manageable. And I always get the screw bottom pole with the crossbar accessory. They're they easiest to install and most stable even in wind. If you're using it on the beach, the tilt function is useless (on most umbrellas) since the wind just twists it wherever the wind is blowing and catches it like a sail. After years of "living" on the beach, we've found that this screw base with crossbar design is the absolute easiest to install. (Press down on the cross bar while twisting into the sand. Just don't pinch your fingers when the bar slides!) And if it's an extra windy day, we tilt the entire post and umbrella (not just the tilt head) a little towards the wind. It's super stable and works great!

It was blown over the first time I used it. The pole bent and the adjustment button was broken. Very disappointed with this umbrella.

Here's the things I like about it: Arrived quickly and well wrapped, easy to assemble, colors and pattern attractive, sturdy poles, appears well made, nice large span for coverage. I love the bottom insert into the sand and the metal rod to help insert it deeper into the sand. I also love how easy it is (a knob) to tighten the umbrella into the pole. I haven't used it yet and will return if it doesn't work as stated. What I don't like: the carrying case, as many state in their comments, is flimsy, cheap and will most likely tear after several uses. seems silly to provide such a flimsy case. The spokes inside the umbrella themselves are plastic, so I wonder how long they will last, but it does seem well made, so hopefully it won't matter when the winds pick up. Overall, at this point, without using it, I'm satisfied with the purchase.

This was easy to assemble, twist in the sand and gave plenty of shade. Easy to store when done.

The media could not be loaded. I have a rare genetic disorder that causes me to be very sensitive to the heat. I love being outside in the garden, but I have to be careful on hot days. This has helped a lot. I screwed it into the garden bed by my park bench so now I have a shady spot to sit and watch the birds. The best part is that you can tilt it to the left or right so you can block the sun no matter what time of day. It was super easy to set up and it looks great.

I was so excited for this umbrella!! I used it for the first time yesterday. It was fairly easy to assemble. I was confused by the tightening screw on the bottom piece (anchor) as it did not seem to serve any purpose (the pole fit snugly into the anchor once inserted). In fact, the pole fit so tightly into the anchor, that when it came time to break the umbrella down, those two pieces wouldn't come apart! So there's not only a useless screw, but two pieces stuck together that wont fit into the bag!I read a review that mentioned this exact issue, but the user gave it 5 stars so thought I could figure it out if I encountered this issue. I'm not sure if other people have had this problem, but it is a problem! The anchor doesn't just stick out of the bag a little bit... It doesn't fit into my trunk properly either. The sharp pointy bottom scratches my very wide trunk b/c it's so long. I am going to have to return it once I can muscle it apart.Also of note, the plastic appears very cheap. I expected a little more at this price. The umbrella itself seemed of good quality.* Follow up! I reached out to the vendor about this problem with the two pieces stuck together. I was told that this was INTENDED and they are not supposed to come apart. Smh. I eventually got mine apart to send it back, but it is a huge design flaw.

Bought this umbrella with 4 other items, all items came except umbrella, yet tracking slip said it was delivered. Contacted Amazon who told me to wait a few days to see if it would eventually arrive but did not. They reordered umbrella and it arrived within a couple days. Sturdy, large size, and with separate screw in base to hold firmly in sand at beach. Stays put on windy days. Multi positional, bright colors to find your spot on beach, and lovely carrying case. Well worth the price, the wait and hassle.

I needed something to protect a young tree from 117 degree temperatures in Phoenix. The leaves were being seared off every day. This umbrella casts a wide swath of shade and keeps my tree out of the sun (with a little help from a sheet hanging from one side. The pole is very sturdy and if I wanted something for the beach, or just my yard, I would definitely buy another one of these.
