It works as intended and it was discovered on my Zigbee network quickly without the need to download the Aqara app. I have it set up with HA automations and have exposed it to my Alexa via HA, so I can just ask it to open and close from there too. I've had it for about 2 months and the battery life has been pretty good, I only charged it once at initial set up. One thing I did notice is I cannot set up the "hand open" feature on HA, but its not a big deal for me.
