***This is my re-review post usage for few days. By the look of the powder it did not seem like it is fdom the heartwood or unprocessed pure sandalwood as I mentioned before.But I kept using it for few days.There is visible difference in short span.And I recommend this product.Give it a try and see for yourself.Also they provide employement for the challenged and elderly.Okay product.But they provide employment to elderly with special needs and loved that.the fragrance looks artificial.The quantity looks good. And the cokor looks oinkish unlike lal ya sri chandan looks like a mix of both to me. But it is not grainy texture is smooth powdery works for face packs and ubtan.I am not sure for consumption.

Company claims that this is 100% pure sandalwood powder. This claim may not be accurate.Here is whyTexture:Very fine powder of sandalwood. Almost like talc powder. Usually pure sandalwood powder is more grainy hand it has lots of small wooden straws in it. I checked the power under magnifier and did find some wooden remains but since powder is so fine it is hard to tell if they mixed some clay or other wood along with sandalwood.Colour:Colour of red sandalwood powder is much more red than this. Also when pouring water sandalwood changes colour and becomes more dark coloured. This is true for both yellow and red sandalwood. However this powder is more pinkish than red and when adding water colour remains almost same. So definitely they mixed something else in this powder so its not 100% sandalwood.Smell:Coming to smell. This powder does smell like red sandalwood but the scent is more on sweeter side. The smell of pure sandalwood is more on woody side and it is very subtle. Maybe they added some fragrance to enhance the smell.Conclusion:It looks like they added some other materials inside sandalwood powder and added some scent to compensate the lack of sandalwood. They should be more transparent about amount of sandalwood in their sandalwood powder.Now do I hate it? Absolutely not. This is a pretty good sandalwood powder. I will definitely be using it. The problem is pure sandalwood is very VERY expensive. But still companies selling their products here on Amazon should be more honest about their product and I expect Amazon to do a stricter quality control in future.

I don't know it's real or not, but nothing made my skin as flawless as this powder. I simply mixed it with rose water and applied, had severe acne because of body heat, acne got reduced, skin became smooth, soft and fair. I am really surprised by the result and will definitely buy again, hope get the same product and no adulteration.

I'm not sure if this is proper sandalwood powder because the smell is predominantly of rose powder or something. The smell is sweet and may be quite overwhelming if you have a very sensitive nose. Also, this sandalwood powder is pink. I have used other sandalwood powders for many years and have never seen a pink one so I really dunno what that's about.Those aesthetic issues apart, this is quite gentle on the skin. I have used it as a face pack almost every day since I bought it a month ago and it does a good job of cleaning the skin and making it feel smooth. Fyi, I have very oily, very sensitive skin and I was not sure if this would work for me because although sandalwood is generally very good for skin, some people don't react well to it. Fortunately for me, it works quite well and I will continue to use it. I have already placed an order for my second packet.I would recommend people with problematic skin give it a go.

I did not know that this is a powder from red sandalwood and probably some white sandalwood and not only white sandalwood.

It is artificial not a natural one.worst product.
