Another half-baked song sketch from Trey
No verses, no chorus. Another unfinished, incomplete song-idea from Trey.I read a glowing review of this song on a blog, and came here to purchase it.I feel robbed. We all know Trey can do better than this.

Scabbard = Trey's return to prog rock
Very Zappa as others have said. Great to hear Trey going back to his prog rock roots after all this time.I love it.

always progress
Too bad it's only a snippet, but the first part sounds like The Curtain! I love how people start criticizing Trey by saying they don't like it yet and then later, it's the best thing he's put out. I like this alot. Go Trey! Keep on pushin' musical love and progress as usual. I'm glad you are off drugs.

Different than any other Trey
Might take some time getting used to. Very Zappa-ish though. I can see it growing on me in the future. Cant wait to hear the rest of the album

Amazing 6 minute journey!
Looking forward to the rest of this Album. The early chord progressions sound a little like it could have been on the Bar 17 album. However, it quickly enters into a Zappa style groove. The lyrics are typical Trey ambiguity and are used for compositional purposes IMO. By the 3 minute mark we enter into another more melodic arpeggio section that is overlaid with a blanket of keyboard percussion and drum sounds that continue to build in density until the end of the song. This final movement is reminiscent of the "Postal Service" song "Such Great heights" ending. The end is clearly a different location than at the beginning of the song. An amazing 6 minute journey! Looking forward to the rest of the Travels.
