Easy to use, value for money.
Awesome, a true plug-and-play device that helped us digitize MiniDV tapes from 20+ years ago. Every $ spent on this device was worth it. Thanks for making this reliable, easy-to-use, and no-fuss device. Works as advertised.

Great Product, Great Company Service
This is a fantastic product. It is easy to use, allows you to break up long vhs tapes into smaller, more interesting MP4 segments, has very good audio and video, and it is easy to set up and use.We had dozens of vhs & mini dvds & camcorder files of family events, and we're trying to digitize everything so we can get ride of the tapes and discs. The cost of paying someone to do it for us was out of the question because it requires so many hours.I did have a problem converting three of my tapes. I contacted the company by Email, and they got back to me within a few hours with a comprehensive answer that solved my problem--which was me: I wasn't following the directions properly.

Well Made and WORKS WELL!
After trying a software program from an "app store" ($75 charged in Hong Kong! What could possibly go wrong?) that failed badly (harsh review for them in "SEPCOR"), I bought this hardware.Fortunately, I still have a DVD player with RGB plugs for which this device fits. It is EASY TO USE. IT WORKS EXACTLY the way they say it does! Sure, it's bit more expensive, but YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR!I was able to transfer videos I took on a DVD video camera in 2005 (in a very bizarre format) and turn them in MPEG4 files in "real time." What made it really nice is that the DVDs displayed their contents which this device could record what was being displayed on the TV screen by just pressing "RECORD."Now 8 DVDs of 30 minutes each taken during hurricane Katrina in 2005 are now SAVED in a modern format.

Works GREAT, but watch out for this potential user error!
4/5 Stars!KEY TAKE: This product works as intended and retains both visual and audio quality from the video itself. I was a well-documented child growing up, and my family kept all of the old VHS-C tapes at home. I used this to convert those old tapes into digital files and it's all very easy to use.Remember, this is just a recorder. Which means if you're in my shoes, you'll need to rewind the tapes, and play to record from start to finish.----NOTES----- CORDS: When you receive the package, the converter comes with several cords outside of the charger/power cord (AUX cord, AV cords). It may be a bit confusing. You don't need to use the other cords, unless your equipment calls for it. But if you're like me, I used a Panasonic camcorder to play my tapes and hooked that up to the converter. I already had an AV cable for the camera, so I plugged the other end into the converter and it worked. Yes, the audio was also included. Very simple. I ended up not using the other cords, aside from the one to power the converter.- STORAGE: Make sure you have something to save the files onto. I have a lot of USB drives and saved my recordings onto that by hooking that into the converter. Pick a drive that fits your needs. If you have A LOT, like me, get something like 128GB. Each tape I have is at least an hour to an hour half long. So each recorded file came out to around 2.5GB to 3GB. Use that as a measure, if it helps.- RECORDING: I didn't need to touch most of the settings in my case, but you know you've stopped recording when it says 'SAVING' when you stop. It does not stop automatically.- CORRUPTED FILE: I was recording a tape, and also had the recorder hooked up to my TV so I could watch on a bigger screen while recording. At one point, right as it finished and before I hit the stop button, I pulled out the HDMI to move elsewhere. This made my converter freeze up, which messed with my recording. The file exists, but it cannot be opened, so safe to say the file was corrupted. Don't pull cords out when you're recording and leave it untouched!Glitch file corruption aside (a bit of a user error), the build is plastic but decently made. Good overall, hence a 4/5.

If I could give it more than 5 stars, I would!
Why did you pick this product vs others?:I purchased the VHS to Digital Converter and I’m beyond impressed! For the price, this product delivers outstanding quality and imaging. The conversion process was smooth, and the results far exceeded my expectations. It’s honestly so much better and more cost-effective than using a private company to convert your VHS tapes. I highly recommend this product to anyone looking to preserve their memories with excellent clarity. Don’t hesitate to buy it!

It works and easy to connect
It works! Easy to connect. I transfered vhs to the usb. I plugged usb to my TV. I am able to watch the videos. But, I want to know how to have ICON / photo of each video. I only see a file that I click on.

It worked! Worth every penny!
For years, I have been debating whether I should use the online analog-to-digital conversion services for some of my old VHS tapes. But thanks to my anxiety, I couldn't deal with the possibility of losing my original media. So I thought I'd give this a try. I cannot believe it was THIS easy to convert my old VHS video (analog) to digital format. At first, I tried using my old flash drive for data transfer, and it didn't work. I thought maybe I needed a newer USB Flash Drive to try. Then guess what? Problem solved! I was able to convert my old videos into digital format seamlessly! I will be looking for more videos to convert.

Great Customer Service
The first product that I received was defective. I contacted customer support and received a response within one hour. The product was promptly replaced and arrived a few short days later. I also received additional information that was very helpful to make sure I purchased a flash drive with a transfer rate sufficient to successfully transfer my old VHS tapes. I truly appreciate the prompt and helpful customer service. This company definitely stands behind their product evidenced by the prompt replacement. The new VHS digital converter works great and was easy to setup and use. The first VHS tape that I transferred to a flash drive contained video of our grandson's first Christmas. It was so good to be able to watch it again as he is now 23 years of age!!!
