Well-made raking bit. This has a generous amount of diamond grit and a sharp carbide tip.This bit will fit on a grinder, but can also be used with an SDS if you have a 5/8-11 threaded adapter. I happened to have this adapter for use with core bits, so I tried using this with my SDS. It worked perfectly to clean out old mortar between bricks.Can also be used to remove the mortar between bricks completely. This may be helpful if you need to add a vent to an existing brick wall, or if you need to completely redo a section of brick. Much cleaner than demolishing bricks with a chisel.

The first one had a defective wobble, unacceptable and even dangerous. The second one was fine and worked well. I was surprised at how long it lasted on such a tough job. I was also surprised that it never jams.

Information provided for this raking bit indicates it works well for vertical joints, so instead of using a punch, chisel, and flat-bladed screwdriver to clean deteriorating mortar joints in our brick walkway, I obtained this too. I found it easy to position and control and effective in speeding the mortar-removal process.I am glad I found and acquired it. I recommend it for others who want to refurbish their brick walkways.
