This is a good resource book for those who love antique furniture. Chippendale furniture is multi-faceted, even Asia cultures adopted stylized versions of Chippendale furniture and design.

This medium will be used for an online class I am taking. Access to it through Kindle will make it easy for me when I reach that point in my curriculum.

Very detailed, I think it is a reproduction of the original but I can't quote off hand. You will have to read the description. Very nice copy.

A necessary addition to any woodworkers collection.

Great book on style. If your a woodworker and do not have this book, you're working at a great disadvantage.

Straight to reference library. May refer to it later if needs be, some new pics. Not a detailed tome and only good for back up as some items "may" be by Chippendale.

Beautiful book with copies of Chippendale's original sketches. Very helpful in identifying to Chippendale style.

自分は運良く、中古ですが非常に良い状態で、500円もせずに購入できました。アンティーク家具、特に収集というより、デザインを見るのが好きという方にちょうど良いと思いました。中身は、自分はデザイン業界のことをよく知らないのではっきりということはできませんが、アイデアスケッチとか設計図とかそんな感じです。内容はベッドやテーブルなど様々でした。もう一人、レビューをお書きになった方の仰る通り、文字は少なく図が多いです。英語が読めなくても心配いらないと思います。アンティーク家具に興味を持っていらっしゃるのであれば、是非購入を検討して見て欲しい品です。しかし自分が3000円で買うとなると少し迷いますね。

A very delightful book. After is was published it became very influential not only in the field of furniture but to all decoration and ornamentation in houses. It gains a very good insight into the spread of the Rococo in England and its colonies. Especially when you combine your reading with the book American Rococo, 1750-1775, Elegance in Ornament.
